Yields about the same. Both can yield extremely well when you get them dialed in. I do prefer the Star Dawg over the Chem D tho. Love the bud structure of it better. Due to the bud structure of the SD I think it's the easier to trim of the 2. At least that was my experience with it.

It's an apples and oranges type thing. I really like both of them. Each has a nice flavor, smell, and potency. I find the overall potency to be similar but with different flavor profiles. Like I said I like the bud structure of it better. It seems to hold the weight better and looks amazing in the sack. You honestly can't go wrong going with it.
I like growing the D, the SD, and Chem 4. All good strains. Each has it's good points that I really like and is the reason I keep them around. I never get tired of them. I can pull major weight off of them enjoy each for the high they give. Just depends on what you are wanting in the strain. You want a dank ass lemony flavor go with Chem 4. Want the diesel, go with the D, want the stinky funk go with the SD. I like em all .

Now that I truly have no knowledge of. I have the original cuts of the 3 I mentioned. Sorry I'm no help with that.
With regards to potency. It's really not the high end potency I'm looking for. I look more for flavor and effect. If it were strictly potency I were looking for I'd just stick with sharon widow.

After running my stardawg for sometime and gettin her dialed pretty nicely in all substrates, i def prefer her over the real chemd, ecsd, and O.D. I found the her potency to be as strong if not stronger than those, yield is higher, and shes less finicky to get dialed.
IMO some stardawgs are like a fresh ecsd back in the day- WAY skunky, strong as shit, sour/chemmy, and yield is top. my cut has more of a chem4 structure i'd say, but ive only grown fake chem4 so cant compare it smokewise. I think current packs of stard have different tres dawg male than back in the day/first couple of drops. def seen a lot more keepers outta the old packs. |
