I was just in a completely unrelated gaming site and downloaded a file. The browser routed through a blind overgrow link before opening the correct file????

WTF was that?!!

People got overgrow info and are tracking us?

What can I do for my comp to remove all traces of OG and it's links?

Sorry if this causes a scare someone with computer knowledge please try explain how this could happen.

to remove all traces of everything from your hard drive so that even forensic scientists would have a hard time getting anything then download a copy of gdisk and do a DoD(department of defense) drive wipe and format.

dude how much more vague can ya be?? what is a gdisk and how would one get it ..also will this act like a system recover and wipe EVERYTHING or will it just perform a cleanup on the box? you gotta remember we not all tech heads bro.

go to www.download.com and simply look for a free evidence removing software. check for the one with the best stats.

Run it and it will erase all the shit from the past...

THSeek- did you ever use the Overgrow chat? ... if so, the cached java file could still be stored on your computer, and that may be what you saw...

If you provide some more details, I'm sure the mystery can be solved - most likely whatever you saw is normal and nothing to be concerned about.

you can also google gdisk, it's the second link

I would suspect it's a full hard drive wipe, since the first sentence mentions using in place of fdisk.
