Temps? to worry or not to worry..

Ladies and gent's,

In my grow room I have a digital Read-out, that I have in my bedroom, so I can look at my growroom's tempature from afar. Now, I am hovering around 80.7 - 85.3F. I was asking is that around normal, Safe zone? I really dont want to see temps go higher then that 'cause I have been aiming for 78F but cant get it there. Any Suggestions?

aircool your light. period.
buy an air conditioning unit if your op warrants such

other than that buy blowers with higher CFM

stop spending money on bells and whistles like the remote sensor/digi equiptment until you have the most basic of protools in-house.

o yeah, and if its a closet or cab, you will need to get ambient ROOM temperatures OUTSIDE the enclosure lower, as this is what dictates the inside temp...unless you have a/c and heavy duty HVAC...

good luck man

also,
if you do indeed have full-on digital climate control going on,
or set it up in the future where you can nail it down to the <3degree range automatically,
youd want to aim for 58-61 degrees in flower,
and youll want to strive for that 75-85 range in VEG, dependant upon individual strain requirements.

some plants like it hotter than others and after a few runs with the same strain and different environmental conditions you will notice this as well, and be able to dial em in perfectly.

COLDER TEMPS JUST SLOW GROWTH, WARMER TEMPS PROMOTE RAPID GROWTH.
RATE OF GROWTH INCREASES WITH TEMPS, BUT WATCH OUT,
THERE IS A POINT OF DIMINISHING RETURNS, AND YOU ARE ABOUT THERE.
(if in veg..if in flower get some fans on the tops immediately)...heat degrades the active alkaloids

Phosphorous is locked out in the low 50s

all temps farenheit

be well

ps- where are you taking your readings from? the plants tops? you should be

ps2-using co2? if so the higher temps may be acceptable

Captain Jack,

First off, thanks for the input. I had my digital thermo before anything. I used to use it for reading outside temps.

Second...I am in a closet space roughly 5/5 length/width. Temps outside of room 55F and inside room 81.7 - 85.3F I think I can leave the door opened more and let the air come from the outside in more.

So I think I just answered my own question...haha

Lightbulb CHECK THE EDITS

so u have no fresh air exchanges goin on bro?

i mean aside from the door bein left open..and a fan inside (not enough imvho, altho i did that last grow purely out of poverty)

its doable...but only if yer good and yer risking ya freedom to grow less than perfect pot

(+its annoying and the plants hate you for it-watch for mold late flower)

also, HVAC is directly related to fast growth & strong stalks.

edit: forest that has nothing to do with this thread boss
odor control is the least of his worries right now man, he needs a blower..or 2...then if he wants to incorporate some sort of can into that he can do so...one word forest,
PRIORITIES

just dont grow any dieel or ksuh till ya get that set up yeah i agree :P

either way bro break out that fat knot of benjamins ya got in yer pocket and git er dine www.teksupply.com www.farmtek.com same company different site skins/marketing technique - i can vouch for these folks - 100%

I am not worried about order at this point in time. I rent a 2 story house(MYSELF). 4 bedrooms, 2 living rooms.....etc... Well let me do the lay out:

EVERYTHING that I am doing is UPstairs.

With that said, there is a door that leads upstairs securily locked.

Around the corner I have my growroom. It is a 5+5 room length by width. I have my 400HPS in there with the ballast.

In the corner of the room I have a Fan that rotates continuesly(indirect).

NOW, I do not have a fan that brings FRESH air in. As soon As I get off work, I am going to buy one.

Basically thats my lowdown so far. I might be leaving somthing out. But If I do I will edit it.

www.teksupply.com

get a 265cfm (or so) blower and EXHAUST the air from that room...keep the air in the room the box is in FRESH AND CLEAN at all times with an ionizer and a window or whatever u do to keep is not stagnant, and use PASSIVE INTAKES, if money is an issue.
you may want to do a search b/c im not sure on the exact formula but i believe the intake holes if passive MUST be at least 10% smaller than the outtake exhaust if doing passives. dont forget a light trap

peace and be well

Hey Salty,
this is very interesting, I didn't know this. I try to run a passive setup but I don't think my intake hole is smaller than my exhaust...
Do you know anything more about this? How important is it?
