Maj. Cottonmouth's Sugar Cane Train Test Grow
Hello everyone, sorry I am a little later than usual getting this test grow documented but nothing exciting is happening yet anyway.
On 4/27 I germed 5 each of Sugar Cane Train and Platinum Dog seeds but I let them soak for too long and only two of the SCT broke soil. On 5/10 I germed 3 more SCT and they all popped up. Picture is from 5/16. On 5/22 I transplanted SCT 1 & 2 into 1 gallon smart pots. As you can see one of them was getting root bound and should have been uppotted earlier. On 5/27 I transplanted SCT 3, 4 and 5 to one gallon smart pots. Plants on 5/31 On 6/2 I transplanted SCT 1 and 2 to three gallon smart pots and moved them into flower. On 6/8 SCT 1 and 2 were sexed and 1 was male and 2 was female. On 6/9 SCT 3, 4 and 5 were moved to flower but not uppotted. I am waiting until they sex before transplanting them to bigger pots. I shot a video last night, the 12th.

Thanks b, should be a good show, coco makes me look like a good grower
![]() So I had good luck on the ratio and I ended up with three females out of five. They are all in 3 gallon pots now and starting to take off.

Seed Buyers Beware! Don't waste your money on hype. If you have to buy multiple seed packs to find that "keeper", you're getting ripped off. Every female in a pack of seeds should be a keeper! We've been led to believe that lots of variation in a cross is a good thing, because some vendors would rather you buy several packs of their gear, instead of them actually doing the selections to fix that nag champa or golden clit trait themselves. For hobby growers, pheno hunting is fun. But mono-croppers who grow to pay the bills prefer a consistent product that regularly delivers the desired trait package. |

Thanks man, so far they seem to have a branchy structure that is great for vert. The one that is at two weeks I hacked a bit off of and I will hit the other two in a week and get them opened up.

Welcome Warped, I hope you enjoy the show. The SCT are coming along nicely, the two smaller ones are at a week and a half and the bigger one is at two and a half weeks.
