Hello all,

I am ready to order a ballast kit for a 70 watt metal halide system.

I am sooo confused and looking for some quick help.

First there is no capacitor in mh systems correct.

Second, I intend to be using the light for a seedling/clone/isolation cabinet (20"x20"x40" - an old sony stereo cabinet)

Lastly, I seem to have a selection of bulbs-now I want to mount this bulb horizontal, but I was referring to the color (ie 3000K, 4000K).

What are your thoughts?

Dont know the answer to the cap question but I would assume that it WILL have a capacitor. I _think_ all HID lighting systems have a cap.

Horizontal mount isnt gonnabe a prob. Lots of lights are sold for Horizontal mount.

Bulb color, heres my .02.

For Clones \ Seedlings \ Veg Moms etc, a halide is better than an HPS although a halide with HPS charastics (like the extra reds) are even better.

Mh and HPS have Caps, but the MH doesnt use a Ignitor HPS does.
