Half the reason I smoke is to avoid dreams. And yes, when i skip a night or take a break for a while, the dreams get a bit weird.

As I have said, Bad dreams are actually a good thing sometimes. It usually means there is some unfinished business you need to take care of or talk about. I have had some really bad dreams that make me wake up. Anytime you alter your conscience expect this to happen. Learn from it , it can give you an insight into realms that are not experienced normally. Extasy was used as a tool to do this before it was crimilized , It was used by therapists to help people. I have had some horrible dreams I call them "real dreams" like It was real and I could not get my wife to understand what I meant about "Real dreams" she did not understand. They seemed so real like , well I can't explain it here. But I learned they served a purpose. I got my doctor to prescribe me Klonopin and Baclofen I was so terrified of these dreams. I take these before I go to bed and put on my head phones so I don't wake up my wife and put in a cool movie like "Wild in the streets" (I like old cult films"..I go to sleep watching the movie have not had problem. I feel your pain my brother. I know what it's like believe me. I hope you beat your demons...All the very best...!

hahaha

I had a dream once that it was morning and I was by a wooded pond along its beach. I was sitting down conversing with chuck norris who was standing by an outdoor grill making us western omlettes and pankcakes. I opened my eyes and woke up and burst out laughing hysterically. It freaked out my wife, she woke up and I couldnt catch my breathe long enough to tell her why I was laughing. This was so many years ago, but its still so vivid... Chuck just standing there shootin' the breeze. I wish I could remember what we talked about.

I get weird dreams if smoking or not. Smoking does not diminish my dreams at all. I just smoke a few hits in a day, never a full joint, that may be part of it.

On Sabbatical myself, 5th nite. the nightmares are just coming back. Always takes a few days to start. Bad acid trip shit. Woke up and had to stumble around the house to make sure life was ok. Put me in the always dreams category. Need to get my tolerance down. I dont interpret them, no logical reason I would see myself as a flooring salesman in 1957. Wife pulling a late shift so no way to work off the excess energy. I was up for an hour before I could sleep again. They will fade in about 2 weeks. They usually do......... Been a few years since I tried this, wifes will start in a day or 2. She always lags behind

Every 6 months I have to "clean-up" just incase the VA wizz quiz's me. No nightmares but sure don't sleep well for the first couple of weeks. Depending on how heavy I have been smoking my clean-up is 4 to 6 weeks.
