Ooh that smell, can't you smell that smell ?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hQlCxE4z3u4
New to posting in the Rez forum, long time lurker though. Hello guys. Once i read about the method Rez uses for smell in his grows. I "think" it was this product here - https://www.doraziocleaningsupply.com...-p/90-4000.htmVaportek Optimum 4000 Air Treatment System ![]() Am i right ? If no, can someone point me in the right direction please ? Once we get the correct product for sure, i am also looking for someone who has used it and can give me general thoughts. Planning to put it outside my room for smell that perhaps might leak out, say during chop and trimming. Using a 8in fan and 150 can inside the room right now, just want a little extra insurance outside the room ![]() Thank you very much !

First time im seeing that product. Are they using Carbon. That one does not even come with a filer. You need to buy it separately. I would pass on that unit. I have a air cleaner for the room. It uses carbon/Ozone and some hepa filters..Seems to work OK. I dont smell any cannabis. I have 2 scrubbers in the flower room so I would not have any leakage to start with. I use mine for the Dog smell..

Thanks Hammer. I don't plan leakage
, just for use when chopping and drying when the smell gets everywhere and is very strong. Not a single person remembers what system Rez used for odor control ?

yep been using these products for over 5 years, including the 4000 units which REZ used to rep heavily before his holiday these are good products, if a little expensive to run they use a canister refill, which lasts about 2 months on a low setting, in reality they last a month i have used these for years, there used in funeral parlors and flood cleanup sites by local govt and are very good at eliminating odour, not masking it rez used to recommend just this product and no filter ( god knows why, there good but thats suicide ) but then went on to recommend them as extra protection in addition to a filter in reality, there great for auxillary rooms, harvest time etc i run these in the adjoining rooms to big grows for a bit of insurance few points - 1. they sell 20 different refills, only 1 destroys odour, the rest mask, the one you want is called vaportek 4000 neutral refill, purple label and sometimes called standard refill. 2. even tho this product is £200 and the refills cost £60, this is one of there cheapest products!!, ive got a old vaporshark unit that cost over 4k with £600 refills that last 2 weeks thats saved my ass a few times over the years. i tell no lie when i say this fills the entire 1 sq mile industrial estate with the fresh smell of vaportek on harvest week at a particular 30 light location thats difficult to trim at ( instead of the fresh smell of lemon skunk ) 3. it is possible to buy the cartridges and use a small computer fan and battery to eliminate the need for the actual unit, saves money, can use where theres no power ( in the ceilings, nearby outbiuldings etc) 4. there great for running in your car on full power for a hour to give it that new car smell...... they actually sell a car valet unit thats the same thing esentially, run it a hour, gets rid of all smells trapped in the carpets etc 5. when your cartridge is getting to the end of its life, open it up, pour a bit of olive oil over it and chuck it in your extract for a few weeks extra life ![]() these guys are serious about odour control thats for sure, the only pain in the ass is refills, which are overpriced for what they are as a product

the unit that is used in disaster sites ( floods etc ) is esentially a vaportek 4000 with a battery, they are placed in streets and buildings after the event to get rid of the related odour ( bodies/sewage etc) ...... https://vaportek.com/product-line check out the vaporshark unit that comes in its own briefcase lol, treats 50k sq ft, or the unit that treats over 200k square feet ( over 4 acres )............5k and then 2k a month for refills per unit !!! is it worth it ???? depends on the application, the point is.....it exists and thats a good thing this isnt a bullsh*t product aimed at weed growers and overpriced to match, its not aimed in any way at growers, infact its pretty difficult to buy from them in any kind of large volume unless you tell them why you need it which is why there never really discussed on weed sites even though the companys been around longer than advanced nutrients ( thats and the cost of the bloody things lol ) ive been using these products 5 years and so do the local NHS and fire service, when they change i will but until then i consider vaportek at the top of there game. running costs however are a different thing just dug up a few old excel spreadsheets to show approx proven costs 1 vaportek 4000 unit - to run per year - £1050 per yr 1 vaporshark 6 membrane unit - per year - £7200 per yr 1 large 12 membrane unit - £13000 per yr ( seems silly unless you see the scale, but this will cover 4 or more 50kw+ rooms in a warehouse and surrounding few hundred yards as long as there scrubbed pretty well) and yes no matter how good the filters........... 200kw worth of filtered rooms in a big building still smells of weed down the block every now and then unless you look at things like this. back to the initial question............... vaportek 4000 units......compare a 4000 to a carbon filter ??? the 4000 looses large..... 4000 unit is over a grand per yr excluding initial costs of 200 quid, a filter 200 quid and usually lasts a lot longer than a year however compare as a standalone product ?????? The op asks about supplimental odour control??? this works great as extra odour protection to be used to catch any odour that escapes my grows/places etc get one OP and youll be happy with it as a supplemental odour controller

Smoke and mirrors isnt blowing smoke right now. The 4000 will steralize a room with no circulation. It seems to even sap the smell right out of plants and flowers if run through a box so place it where you need it. There expensive, There obnoxious if you turn it up to high. But on a battery backup you could run it for 6 hours and on trim time crank that baby up to like 8 and roast out. On a side note rez used to post how he stopped using these and moved onto something but everyone remembers the vaport. The cart's are ok but the dispensor cost has me looking elsewhere it doesnt last forever.

Awesome guys, thanks so much for the replies !
Gonna order one up, cost is not really an issue compared to safety come trim time.
