Hey foomar...try to pop any of the MontelsPride x ECSDv3? Heard great things about the MP, havent tried it yet tho and the ECSDv3 has some wicked poppa power!

Got some Very Old gear from Buck a few years back w/ the following: Somatooth II, BoggyHaze x ECSDv3, NYCDf2, MindBogglef2's, and original Montel'sPride. Tried to pop some of the SomatoothII and BoggyHaze x ECSDv3 w/ not so great results. Waiting for a rainy day to try and pop the rest. Buck said the gear was old when I got it, so even older now, but ya never know?

Btw, I got some of your old Giesha f2's and G13 Diesel x Giesha freebies. Thanks for putting those out. Looking forward to running them.

Hi DrPoison , unfortunately none popped , and they were given the best chance , just a little to old , should have ran them sooner.

A few popped from these packs , but none survived.

Packs of Triesel and Ele are dated june 2008 and are fine , one of the first breeders to do this, other packs are older , brought them when released and not in the recent clear out , photographed on delivery and stored in an ex-hospital fridge at 3 deg since.

Was really looking forward to running this series and actually planned ahead for once , hopeing for a Biko male to work with and would have F2,d everything worthwhile , now running through a large number of similar vintage packs from others hopeing to save something , a two thousand pound collection is a hefty loss and most cannot be replaced.

Have been experimenting with GA3 , trial on some old poor stock shows promise but getting them to break soil is a challenge even after a sucessfull pop.

From now on they will be grown out within two years of production unless i made them myself , and will not buy anything without a date on the pack , undated packs benefit the seller but does the consumer no favour.

This is a beef of mine - tough to tell with some of the "established" breeders that have a ton of older stock. AnnaC beans being sold at semi-reduced prices that are not popping or have poor viability is a scam. And sadly, the seller of these beans is reaping 50% of the profits - reducing their chances of being honest about the stock.

I saw a now banned member trying to get an answer on some GN collection beans - I've been around long enough to know those beans are old, but the fanboys that were cussing him out for a reasonable questions was mob mentality at it's worst. Gypsy hasn't produced a new bean in years - and if something comes out with his name on it, it's more likely some anonymous pollen chuckers produce ($20 to $30 at SBay) with a $100+ price tag.

I now buy mostly "commercial breeders" - sealed, dated packs, with traceable lot numbers.

I have some of your Black Geisha - a few yrs old now, but treasured none the less.

The yummy,s date from 2008 , ele and triesel of the same age popped fine , haveing problems only with the older stock , no fault of Bucks and i should have grown them out sooner.
They were always high quality and low priced , a UBF clone is still a local keeper seven years on , and very few last that long , a recent Apothis stunner will join it , he will not be forgotten.

The Ele from 2008 are fine , 10 ex 10 , cant remember what the cross is and the name is of no help , strong smell on some already.
