White Rhino - Bubbler

A new grow coming up, this time using hydroponics, as the photos below will prove.

Method - bubbling thingy
RO water
Advanced Nutrients ph-perfect (Grow, Flower & Micro)
600 watt hps

White Rhino cuttings and seedlings

We'll see if this works or not! Never grown it outside of soil.

Solution right now is 420ppm. It seemed right.

A couple more shots. The fertilizer is doing a good job holding the php from 6.5 to 6.8. I mixed it @ 6ml/6ml/6ml (equal parts) per 3 gallon bucket and it gave me 420ppm on the truncheon mechanism, or 300ppm, I'm not sure what number to look at.

I found that syringe at a farm store in the cattle aisle and it works great for measuring fertilizer.

55 gal of R/O water stored

Plus 6

6 days later and they are moving along steadily. The plants in the dirt aren't mine.

I'm thinking seriously on building a production line type of operation using aeroponics.

You may want to lower your pH a little bit, hydro prefers it between 5.2 and 6.2. Besides that everything looks good, nice job

Thanks for the info, and I've been upping the ph, had I left it alone that's what it would be.

Day 8, the growth rate is outstanding. I've only seen the seedlings grow (almost) this fast when I once started out with a fresh bale of pro mix. The lights are only on for 12 hours, but every morning when I go in to see if I haven't killed them, I'm surprised at what these are doing.

My only problem is heat. The lights go from 2AM to 2PM, trying to take advantage of the coolest hours of the day, and the water is way too warm, probably 80 degrees. Need a water cooler badly but dont have the $400 to get one, and then I would have to change the system since they're all separate resevoirs of water.

The ones in dirt are a friends, who has been growing them in his closet for over a month. The hydroponic will be overtaking them in size in a few days.

Couple more - 2 days later

Wouldn't it be nice if these ended in good bud and not a 6 month sentence?

Just saying.

Cut the light to 10 hours, its too hot here. But the heatwave breaks in a couple days, 50 degree nights!, then back to 12 hours. I always like to give them real short days right at the start anyway. I think it helps produce whatever hormone it produces to put it into flowering.

high man, i used to grow in DWC's myself so i know what you're going through, shit, lol, i even grew my White Rhino in those DWC's although i have no pics featuring those cycles available, ...they've been put away to who knows where, lol.

...here's a shot where you can see a couple of the DWC's though.

...anyway, a couple things you can do to help control the heat is first, switch your timing to 5PM to 5AM, the hours between 10AM and 2PM are the HOTTEST hours of the day.

...then you might could try wrapping your buckets and rez in Reflectix, ...if you do a search for SpoCannabis, he did a grow a few years ago and wrapping his buckets helped a lot.

i don't know you or your skill level so don't take this wrong but have you ever cosidered trying hempy-buckets? ...i ask because with hempy's you'll get nearly the same growth rates as DWC's but without all the hassles like the need to worry about rootzone temps and such.

...here's a shot of a couple of my White Rhino clones, both flowered in 2liter coke-bottle coco-hempy's inside my micro-cab under a 400CMH and each yielded nearly 2 zips, ...and with nearly NO veg time i might add.

...and here is a shot of my current, new, op which is set to flip on the first, ...these were cuts that spent almost a month in a baggie in my fridge before being potted up into some moist coco on 4/11 and i began waiting for roots, ...as you can see, they rooted fine, lol.

anyway, good luck with your current grow, i wish you much success, ...try that Reflectix man, i think it'll help.

peace, SOG

btw, i'm sorry if i jacked your thread and if you want me to delete the pics just let me know.
