I am thinking... I have a few ideas to present to the county.
I don't dwell on negativity. I want to propel the movement toward a positive future here so everyone can benefit. For me it is about gaining acceptability and legitimacy.

Politicians are a strange people. They will believe propaganda even in light of scientific evidence! The will believe religious dogma proven false. They will follow their government gods with no thought of logic. IF the DEA spokesperson says it - it must be true! And the rest are simple money driven whores looking for a snack... I think these idiots have a scripted scenario staged for them by the DEA and they have a play for the benefit of the people but the outcome is already decided. Wonder if someone snatched their notes, how the outcome would come out? They get bribed in many cases I suspect. And, since the Feds print money, it is no problem coming up wit a few millions for sewer projects and more cop salaries. There is also the amount of vehicles left in Iraq. The military has to either pay for their return or leave them there. They offer them to the police departments for the costs of shipping them back- sold to then as getting them free...lol

Its a good thing if anyone can figure out a way to provide safe access. The main thing is that the patients need access. I know there are many good providers here.

Im surprised that the Dispensaries closed their doors ? Was the order to close any different then what the City of Redding did ? The dispensaries in Redding were ordered to close and refused. Forcing it to a higher court for a decision. The court ruled the city could not close the dispensaries. The ones that stood hard against the decison are still open with the courts on their side. Just wondering why Lake County dispensaries didnt use this tactic ?

The court ordered the one who stood his ground after abatement to close. I know he had the best legal council that money can buy.. Those decisions made no difference. He owned his property that his dispensary was housed on. Most of them had to throw in the towel after pressure from the landlords who feared losing their property if they allowed dispensaries to continue leasing. Some of the board of supervisors received letters from the feds and feared losing their property for any form of regulation. The courts have ruled that the county and cities do not have to allow them. Many confusing rulings and court decisions that contradict one another makes it a catastrophic mess.
We operate one day a week and I have been advised if I can find another location in unincorporated Lake County we can open a second market. We are in the correct zoning and I worked out many details and made concessions to provide the market and safe access. That is my only goal. I always try to work with the county here and it is do-able. Communicating and opening our doors and our financial books to the powers that be helps. I have nothing to hide. Hope to see you Babba's at the cup on Sunday.

Rumor is that the judge ruled very narrowly that the PAC case concerned cities not counties and Lake County could abate businesses not permitted by zoning.
If the citizens for responsible regulation's initiative measure D passes in June then may be the dispensary folks will come on board and write a dispensary initiative. For now the city of Clearlake has the only three dispensaries open full-time. If measure D fails it will be all the advisory committee can do to allow more than 36 plants anyplace in Lake County.

I am truly sorry for the owners of the dispensaries. It has been an ever changing atmosphere since the dispensaries opened and it certainly wears on everyone. We might not all get along and have our squabbles here but I feel safe access was certainly the goal of many of the owners. Some were scandalous.. They ruined it for the good one ones. They threw the baby out with the bath water here. In the grand scheme of things safe access is the important issue. I really hope that something for safe access can be achieved here. The feds have vowed to close down all the dispensaries. I am sure the days of our farmers market are limited as well. We are just enjoying the ride on the last wave..
