Those scents are also spot on.. Normally in growing out the swazi/durban lines there are a few pheno's that predomininate the genetic...

One with huge bushes, 5m tall and wide in un-watered, unamended red dirt ground. This has huge spear 'arms' for colas that are fat with small calyxes and a bit of bud leaf. The form is the same as above in how the calyxes and hairs look with airy hairy but fat buds. This pheno tastes like hash, with anise and pepper and sweet notes. The next pheno generally grows as a single straight up plant with one main cola that can be a 5 or 6 ft spear, the bud form and other characteristics are the same as before. The next two have the form of the pheno you have above, the plant and flowering (not bud) form that I recognize in pics of the cookies online. The earlier flowering pheno pops up in these plants more often. The tend to be more branchy and viney, and have nuggets that form at every node. The flavour of the one is like the first two phenos but with not much sweetness to describe and like you describe. Yours looks spot on for this pheno to me and this is the one that was traditionally grown for the 'poisons' in Natal which were just a nug or two wrapped up in a bit of newspaper or magazine print in a finger size for selling. I've found a fourth pheno growing swazi's/durbans out for years, years ago, and this is like yours above but with 'tutti fruity' flavours that are strong in limonene and citronellol as well as linolool (like fruit loops).

It is a fun genetic to grow out and play with, crosses and hybrids come out amazing after a few generations of selecting out runts and herms. There is a lot of THC in these lines and some CBD hiding too as well as other novel cannabanoids.. They are strong and generally make you stoned off your ass, then high as a kite, then dazed and confused, then hungry as hell...then tired.. The first pheno would be the most stoned and the last fruity one is more just soaring up.

There are also other different related, and not, sativa genetics from mozambique, limpopo province SA, zimbabwe etc.. who knows what is around..The most shocking dope I've found, just sticks and leaves and seeds ( 20c US per 'half envelope')has been on of the most potent I've ever found, the dope came from north of swaziland by 500k's or so and was a shocker to smoke tasting like ass and leaf but would make me so F-ed up, delirious like..and sleepy and hungry. Not any sort of functional high at all and I'm sure would bring out a latent psychosis..

OL latent psychosis,i've had a few bags of african brick weed like that when i was younger in the early 90's,total head fuck material,but you can't find anything like that nowadays.

I've just started 15 of the durban i inbred last season which are from the same P1 mother as the clones i'm flowering at the mo.
The clones are a lot better potency wise than the seeded outdoor mother from last season and thats even before the clones are fully mature,i had a sneaky quick dried sample a few days ago and the difference is amazing to say the least and with a few weeks to go on the first clone i'm expecting them to real tasty after a slow dry and months cure.
