King's Kross early smoke report
I popped six beans from a twelve pack. I got five females. I suppose the other six will be five males. . . Oh well, I've a mother, two actually.
Very nice smoke. I've only quick cured it. I have Cali Kush OG kush S1s and Rez's Sour Diesels, BX2.5 and version 3's to compare it to. KK is somewhere in between. It has more body to it than the S1's, but not so much as the V3's. Strength is comparable. "Outstanding" is what my friends call it. One old toker has smoked the good stuff, like Thai and Colombian and many modern smokes. He thinks the KK beats the best of the rest, potency wise. I agree. I'm 53 and I've smoked the good stuff too. These varietals (KK, S1, V3s) are special. "Outstanding", says it all. The KK beat the stuffing out of the V3's and S1's yield wise. Taste is piney. That is from the quick two day cure I am sure. Bruise the slow curing buds and they smell more like lemon. Last edited by Harpo; 03-04-2006 at 08:35 AM.. |

Steel_Canaries,
Two were huge. Three were about the same size. The biggest OG s1 was the size of the smallest KK. All were very frosty. Nice combination of head and body buz. Very, very nice long lasting high. Not sleepy at all. This is world class smoke. . . There is a giddyness factor to the high I love. I first saw this posted regarded Rez's Sour Diesel. I strongly agree to this factor. It is special. . . At first, before I got used to it, I got a lot of visuals,(flashes of light and strobe-o-scopic effects). All these varietals, (OG kush S1, King Kross, Rez's SD, 2.5 & V3's) do it. Yummm. . . "Outstanding" says it all, but "try it you'll like it", is, maybe, more significant? Stumps with a few bottom branches are all under continuous light. I'm trying samples every day to find the best. So far it looks like the two big ones may be the ones I try to finish reveging. Hope it works. I didn't take cuttings before flowering. Otherwise, I still have six beans to pop, plus I made a few seeds. Crossed it with the OG S1's too.

cured King's Kross bud and micrograph
A cured King's Kross bud, and a Close Up of trichomes. Look at the long stalks! Full of THC. In the micrograph you can't see past the trichomes to the bud. Kick ass herb . My complements to the chef . Some chefs reign supreme ! Reeferman is the “ Iron Chef” his-very-self. Last edited by Harpo; 03-21-2006 at 07:37 AM.. |

Howdy folks,
I did a few too many bongs of the KK last night and got too toasted to post until today. Dr.Feelgood, Taste after the cure is great. KK smells and tastes a lot like lemonade. There are undertones of something pungent. The smoke leaves a nice long lasting after taste. Wrecked, They are both very, very good. They both have a giddiness to the high I love. They have the kind of high where you want to put on your coat and walk five blocks to Mr. Donut, laughing all the way. . . They are both great. Both are a solid notch more potent than my old favorite mother plants, Serious Seed’s AK47 and Dutch Passion’s White Widow. The OG is mostly cerebral, and has a stronger pungent undertone to the lemonade smell. The KK has a more balanced high with more body to it. I like the after taste of the KK better. Otherwise, the highs are very similar. Yield of either of the two larger KK was double that of the largest OG. Here are a couple of buds. Last edited by Harpo; 03-21-2006 at 09:32 PM.. |

Come on. You can trim the OG better than that. Wonder what the clubs will think. Sounds promising. Gonna be hard to beat the pungent taste of the OG in my book.

BlackHaze, Since King's Kross was made with the Charles Kush, I would like to see the two compared also. I wonder how stable the KK is? CarharttKidd, Give me a break. I grow my own. Small medical grow. Nothing for sale. I don't trim closer cause the smaller leaves protect trichomes. Seal them away in vacumm jars and exit stage left. . . My friends tell me the KK taste piney. I've lost perspective. KK does have better balance of body and mind. I usualy reach for the KK first. I save Rez's Sour Diesel for Sundays. . . However, everything was from seed. Mature Cuttings will tell the tale. Immature growers grow immature pot. . . Here is micro pic of OG Kush at seventy days flower. This shit kicks ass. Much better than earlier harvests. I revegged the KK and can't compare the two, as of yet. . . ![]() Last edited by Harpo; 04-15-2006 at 12:03 AM.. |
