Grape Stomper Oil

I went to my favorite store yesterday for some absolute amber hashes to vape. I did one of those gasps and the rush came into my head.

I wasn't sure if this was GGG genetics or not and will make sure to find out. They have some legit things at this store and I know they know what the bay and icmag is

Anyways I can taste the a warm sweet grape flavor in this rock hard hash. It's fairly fresh the batch was made on 4/20 so I'm going to let this puppy sit.

Well today I contacted two of the guys who are responsible for all of these tasty oils.... The one guy said he didn't know other than which store they got the material from. I checked out their menu and they do have Grape Stomper, though it doesn't say GGG. I wish more stores would actually label their strains in CO!

I then talked to the other guy that works there and he wrote back to me....
"Mostly Sativa hybrid, Purple Elephant [Hash Plant x Purple Urkel] x [ChemDawg x Sour Diesel] One of the best tasting shatters we make that is for sure!
it's better known as sour grapes =] and yes I believe it is from green gage genetics"

I like when he said better known as "sour grapes" aka that Cali dispensary stealing and changing the name. I do enjoy pestering people about the genetics though. Most of the time it's just the cute bud tender girls who don't know shit other than that they have boobs and how to use them to sell their wares.

Look's like I might have to get some more and sit on it.

Thank you!

sounds like your oil is from the gage GS
btw "sour grapes" is the name GS was released under originally,
the next version was GS BX
but the sour grapes name is accurate,
in fact its still listed on the other seed site under that name

Sour Grapes was the name given to the Grape Stomper by the Collectors who were featured in High Times. The guy befriended Keyplay and was given countless locked down cuts that eventually all made the centerfold of that issue of HT. Anyways, this guy promised to keep it for himself but ended up whoring it out to Oaksterdam's Blue Sky Cafe. Instead of using its original name, the guy named it "Sour Grapes" and claimed to be the breeder of the strain.

That's why the name Sour Grapes is so prevalent, because the clone has been circulating for a couple years under the Sour Grapes misnomer.

Personally, I am not a fan of the name and it has already been taken by Apothecary before this guy decided to steal the cut.

I think the reason most CO dispensaries don't label the strain of concentrates because they truly don't know what the strains are or there are too many strains in the blend to pick one out. Most concentrate makes use a blend of buds/trim.

The Grape Stomper is one of the most pungent and fruitiest smelling buds on the planet. It also has tremendous trichome production so anyone running it for oil or concentrates will yield unseen amounts of concentrate product. Over 20% yields if done right. The Grape Stomper budders easily and produces a very light, almost yellow wax.

This is actually a great method for serious concentrate producers to increase yields. Our new Grape Stomper hybrids focus on increased potency. So any high resin producing pheno of the Grape Stomper BX, Grape Stomper OG, Bright Moments, or Sun Maiden, would be perfect for turning into oils.

damn... what a turd that guy is
and to add insult to injury he then claims rights to it
as the breeder
thats a shame m4k, human nature never seem to disappoint.
thanks for clarifying whats up with the sour grapes thingy, i wondered why it was in your listing @the other site as
AKA sour Grapes

Being an icmag junkie with the projects I have running I want to find the stuff I've read about. One example I have is I'd been searching for BOG strains in the CO area. Not much luck, until I one day I was reading a publication of selections in the area and I found Lifesaver. Went to the store and inquired and they confirmed what I was hoping! The same became true for this oil. The dispensary they got the plant material is my next stop. I think it would just be a major selling point to label strain in such a manner at least for a junkie like me. I'm guessing the majority of patients don't know or care, but if they started getting more information about who's really making their favorite treats... couldn't hurt right

I think the guys making these have top notch oils, got a 1st place at the Denver High Times event for their concentrates. Bet they would love to work with more GS and it's crosses for 20% returns!
