As for verifying cuts that come to the market.. there is no real way to do that. You can demand a finished product and they can go buy a finished product to show you. You can't go check out every grow of every cut.. all that is not possible when you present a farmers market type of service. You have to have dependable, reliable and honest vendors and if they in fact turn out to be dishonest undependable liars you cut them from your vendors. You will always have to weed those folks out. I doubt there is one dispensary or collective operating that hasn't gotten a fake cut of something and passed it on. We stand behind our products and I will make this good to everyone. I have the verified real deal GSC and I am working to make all this good asap. Everyone who got a fake cut has been more than kind about the ordeal. I thank you all for that. It's not like hundreds of cuts were sold through our market. It was a small group. If anyone complains it should be them but in truth they are all friends who know I will make things good.

Just wanted to say you are a stand up gal. Even though I wasn't affected by this - it's always great to see compassionate dispensaries. Keep up the good vibes.. mistakes happen and people are handed fake cuts and then pass them on as quickly as possible not knowing.

I think the moral of the story is always test your cuts before you pass them on as legit (this obviously also goes for your vender, I bet he was given it under the impression it was real.) It wouldn't hurt for venders to hopefully show some pics of the plants in veg/flowering when dropping off the cuts to show their growing expressions clearly - maybe even some final product to smoke test. Although I understand the pressures of keeping up with other places and having the new cuts available asap and dispensaries don't always have the time to grow out and test a cut right away. In that case having the vender show grow logs and final product should avoid most issues with fake cuts.

Actually, Bio, Rowdy is a stand-up gal! Nonetheless, she is a model for this business community. Personally, I am always a bit skeptical when I pick up commercial cuts, but what the hell. Life is like a box of chocolates.

no i didnt mean drop dime on turtle farmer...i meant turtle farmer should say where he got the fake cut from in SF...i know most of the crowd out there and if someones passing around fakes we should pull his card. did it come from a specific dispensary in SF or some a random craigslist posting...if someone charged turtlefarmer 1k for a fake cut thats bad karma on them, if i ever charged someone 1k (which i never did) i would make damn sure it was verified or i was intentionally ripping them off for money (which is what it sounds like it is)

the cut looks like New Wave, which is a GDP x Sour D cross from the same circle that made cookies...its been the #1 imitation cookies thats been going around lately...

either way its a good karma on your part for the reimbursement....good luck in the future.

I had a few people who were really pissed when I first told them but its all good now and we are all gonna survive it and I hope T.F. has better luck with the second cut that he has.
I have had vendors come and go.. too many to count. Standing behind their product is my rule and some just don't want to live up to that once they have an issue with a patient. I've had vendors pass off plants with issues to patients and then never show back up when they were called on it.. one so called "knowledgeable vendor" sold male clones and disappeared. You just have to make that up. It pays to know your vendors and fortunately those things don't happen often. Shady vendors are much more common than stand up vendors. I don't like shady and once they show the shady side they have to move on to another market cuz I want honest compassionate people to vend at our co-op. Anyone can make a mistake or get an issue but resolve it and don't leave that patient dissatisfied. It always pays off in the long run.

just FYI to everyone so nobody gets ripped off again.
there is NO real GSC clones on the market.
the person who created that strain has not released clones or seeds of it.
and he confirmed on twitter that there is only 3 dispensarys that carry the real strain.
2 are in san francisco and one is in san jose.

alot of dispensarys and clone vendors are selling cuttings and buds labeled "GSC" because of the hype. do not be fooled. be patient and eventually the real thing will be released and available.
