Hey there Donald Mallard
These are certainly a vigorous growing strain for sure. The next clone to go in and document is already taking off and almost ready to go 12/12 and it's only been in veg for 11 days. The other strain Iv'e got usually takes about 2-3 weeks before it's ready to go 12/12. I might top this one to promote multiple branching and see how it behaves that way as I want to put both into flower at the same time. I'm really looking forward to working with this strain and dialing it into get the most out of it in this micro environment.

benjuanman
Thanks for stopping by and checking out my grow. I know you wont be dissappointed when you buy some of these seed I know I'm not. I'm just very grateful to be able to try this strain and, of coarse very shortly, the z99 strain as well. Many thanks to Mr Mallard of coarse, hope I do it justice in my micro cab.

I'll try and shoot a couple more pics of the new clone latter today to give you a comparison to the other cutting in order to show the growth vigour.

Cheers Johnny

Yeah I was one of the lucky ones to test the seeds but December last year my security was jeopardized and had to shut up shop. Ended up losing my MBS seedlings as well as another couple of strains I had going too. Having a bad run coz last week my outdoor plants got ripped :( Pricks took 4 White Rhino mullies that only had a week to go or so. But on a better note I just chucked 5 Z99 seeds in a glass of water last night so will hopefully be able to sample some of this goodness in the future. Peace

Hey Benjuanman

That's terrible news all round m8, I certainly hope everything is back up and running again. Hopefully the z99's turn out nicely for you, I wont be planting any of mine z99 for a little while yet as I don't have any room for them. Am looking forward to trying them thou.

So what happened as far as security issues ??? did you get busted, hope not. Wish you all the best m8

Ok so some more pics for you all, not a lot to see but some any way.

This is a shot of the MBS cut/clone that I will be documenting. This has only been in the "dirt" for 12 days and is growing fast. Very vigorous indeed.

This is a shot of the above MBS and another clone both planted at the same time, same size and very similar root structure/size. Give's a good comparison as to the vigour of the Mbs.

I topped the MBS this morning, taking out the very top of the growth tip, hoping to promote side branching and also slow down the upward growth a little as I can't start flowering for at least another week yet.

Another couple of pics.

This plant is another MBS seed started. Iv'e taken a cut from it which is the pic on the right, and this seedling will be going into flower soon. Time will tell if it's a girl, if it is the cutting will be made into another mum for future cuts.

That's it for now, so

Cheers Johhny

Thnx for the concern regarding security Johnny No didnt get busted but alot of people in my circle got raided and went to jail. So done what my guts told me and shut up shop. Its been roughly 6mths now so should be in the clear lets hope. Anyways enough of me filling your thread with alll this negativity haha. Your MBS clones are defeniately vigorous, I found that my seedlings for the short time I had them were quicker growing then the others I started at the same time. Can enlighten me abit more with your soil mix too mate?

Hey benjuanman

My soil mix as follows.

About equal amounts of the following

Coir coco block
perlite
home made compost (finely sifted)
worm castings (home made & fresh)

to this Iv'e also added

Blood & Bone
Dynamic lifter
A tiny amount of potash
And a little lime.

This off coarse is well mixed and watered with a mix of Gogo juice, liquid seaweed and some home made Comfrey extract. This is allowed to age and mature before use.

At the start I would just mix up another batch when needed but I am now recycling my soil and it appears to be getting better with age. The current plants, inc MBS, have only been fed 3 times during the the growth cycle with now signs of any deficientcies. When feeding i's usually a mix of the Gogo juice, Power feed, Seaweed, Comfrey and Alfalfa extract (home made as well). I also have an organic based PK 13-15 Hydro solution that I sometime add to the mix as well.

I also water with rain water, not tap. Try to keep things simple, KISS, and its seems to work ok. During the summer period I need to water about every 3 days, and coming into the cooler time of the year it's 4-5 days.

Cheers and stay safe
Johnny

Just a quick update.

Not to much to see in the growth department, but I thought you might like to see just how vigorous this particular pheno type is of this MBS.

Root porn

These 2 cuts are only 7 days in water and have already rooted, very fast indeed, as I find that it will usually take at least 10-12 days min. Also these 2 cuts where not taken with a "node" left on either, look closely to this photo, just a cut along the stem.

Also a quick pic of the next Mbs seedling almost ready for flower.

As you can see, it's been topped (given up a cut) and will be flowered out to determine the sex. This 1 too is showing some real vigor in growth.

That's it for now, grow safe all

Cheers Johnny

Thats cool about the clone rooting even though it was cut above the node. From what I've experienced which is not much, my cuttings only root with one or two nodes below the surface.
