Ok, I know theres a few threads about moving to a med state, but most of these are about moving to grow and sell herb.
I came into a large sum of cash and no longer have to work and am looking to move to a med state just so I can smoke legally and enjoy the rest of my life.
I was originally moving to Amsterdam but after a 6 week holiday there I kinda soured on the whole deal as other than the cofeeshops I enjoy the USA way better and also the new wietpas system and mj laws there seem about to greatly regress.
So, if money is no object ( I can pay 7 figures for a home easily) where would you move to smoke and enjoy life, state and city suggestions would be great. Thanks

Google Traverse City Michigan. Our laws/Leo are all fucked up right now. But just a user is still the safest. Lots of fun stuff but not too large. If you do not do winter,they can get long.

I am in california, and the state really is the trend setter for medical mj, but with a catch, the state is broke, the cost of living is too much like 3gs a month for 1200sq ft home in the hood, but as the market fluxuates you may find a deal. Stay away from LA, san diego, and Oakland, only because it is very crowded, and consentrated with millions of ppl, its no bueno if your not use to traffic, and lines where ever you go. If its still a plus to be there, I would pick Humbolt, or some suburb on the outskurts of cities.

Oregon, and washington I lived also, and both states are beyond natural beauty, but you have rain, rain rain, but both states are just as big trend setters as cali.

I personally been looking to get out, and with only the 16 states that have 215 laws leaves not much of a selection. I have also visited Vancouver Canada, and for the life style, its pretty laxed, I mean they have legal prostitution, and not the type you would imagine, I was use to crack whores in LA, but canada has women you would never in a million years think they were, Is the only way I found out by being approached by women you know your out of their legue, oh no I dont mess with pros, it was me being a tourist, and being approached, it was weird but quite a pleasant shock as well. Lol

I am not sure of any other states, they all seem pretty skeechy, as maybe only a few ppl have cards, so the majority will be non mj, and to me thats just like going to the south being black, tho racisim is obolished, you will get some still. Arizona, well its a ok place, but its a hot bitch out there, just like Vegas, and without AC your grow will suffer big time.

Now Colorado has been coming up quite a bit, but I also think it depends on what city, as I read bout raids still in certaint parts, but I also hear its pretty laxed, also Colorado has some awesome land laws, and believe no tax, or very little tax, and cheap for land, very beautiful state as well, been to the boarder of New mex, in Toas on indian rez, and man was very spiritual feeling with mother nature.

Well my friend I hope I been of some service, and I wish you luck on where you choose, Hopefully every state will finally get on board soon, but we'll see!

Im thinking Cali or Colarodo, to me cost of living is not a concern and growing conditions... Im more interested in which has the best herbs and selection of edibles. Along with a nice chill atmosphere.

Cali is where you wanna be - stay right close to the coast and north of oxnard or ventura. If you want more urban, then SF bay area or santa cruz or marin county or sonoma county.

For ppl who have the money, Cali cannot be beat. And the herb also cannot be beat.
It can be a rat race in parts of the big cities - but again, if you have the money, you will be well insulated from all unsavory aspects.

There is really no other choice IMO, including Colorado. I've lived in both.
Cali has tarnished some over the years and it can be crowded in areas
but for those with the cash, it continues to be a paradise like no other.

Hmm. Was much easier to locate better bud in Colorado than it was in Cali. It was everywhere in Cali, just not the AAA that I ran across in Rado. However. I had 10x more fun outdoors in Cali. I'm a homebody mostly however

I'm in the process of making the same decision as you without the money factor however. I'm leaning towards Colorado as of now. But i still have a few more areas to visit before I make that decision.

Hi there. I have been throughout the Westcoast of the U.S. and Washington and Oregon and California all seem to have Medical use laws. A friend of mine was just at a District meeting in Eastern Washington about the Dispenseries and Medical MJ laws. Not sure about Idaho but there seems to be a lot going on on the Western Side of the U.S. that are favourable to folks that smoke herb. Good luck.

P.S. Areas in the South Cali like Rancho California and Temecula, Fallbrook are pretty great in December and January and February if you like me are used to cold winters like in the Okanogan Valley in Canada. Tank top and shorts weather even if there is a little rain not like -sub freezing temps in the nights up in Canada till May. Coming from a gringo up in the True North Strong and Free British Columbia.

Cali it is now just got to find a few cities to visit starting next month, I wanna try a few before I decided like I did with Amsterdam

The market is flooded in cali and it's still hard to find top shelf bud, in my experience at least, you'll mostly see sub-par/average outdoor. The bud selection is better in NorCal compared to socal, but you'll still be paying like $60/eighth in NorCal for some AAA grade bud. I also experienced two shortages in the Bay Area, in consecutive years right before harvest when none of my friends or acquaintances knew where to get bud (except for some super shady characters you'd never want to talk to) for a good month or so.

Denver, Colorado, however, is a mile-high city so your blood will be doped with more red blood cells making you a superhuman when you return to sea-level with the normal people! You can't beat that !
