Outdoor Growing in So Cal Desert
Hi ICMag,
I was just wondering what it is like to grow out in the desert in So Cal east of LA. Like San Bernardino, Hesperia, Victorville. I want to find a cheap plot of land with an acre or so that I could do greenhouse grows with, but would still be somewhat close to LA. Anyone who is out there please let me know what your experiences have been like growing in these places. Outdoor or indoor. |

Some of the craziest weed I ever smoked was some Golden Tiger grown east of San Diego in the desert. He had to cover it with some kind of cloth stuff to keep it from burning and had a constant drip on the irrigation, but it was just awesome. I am going down for at least a quarter pound around Christmas. God I wish I had some right now

Yeah I thought that there would have to be a tarp of some sort for sure to keep temperatures down. I thought this would also be clutch to make the outdoor grow more discreet. Or is it really obvious that a big tarp = greenhouse grow anywhere in California? I was wondering what some people's experiences were like growing in this area. Is there a lot of law enforcement? I am pretty sure plant #s are 12/6 in those counties, what are consequences for going a few plants over?

Also, does greenhouse growing protect you from helicopters? I feel like greenhouses are a win/win because they can improve your crop and also make your grow more secure. I am not really an outdoor grower though so I would like to hear a vet give their .02

They sell a cover for outdoor plants that aid a tiny bit in concealment from the air, but the biggest reason is to block some of the light. Plants need cool temperature more than light at that point. It is a special cloth meant just for outdoor growing. Not sure what it is called. I know Mexicans that do that in Chihuahua, which is a high desert. Maybe someone here will chime in on what that stuff is and where you can get it.
The dry air is good for the buds. |

So the climate is good....
the greenhouse doesn't block view? I don't like that the plant count is at 6 mature. Kinda weak. It would be cool to be able to grow some more outdoor without having to worry.... |
