It All Started With A Seed

Hello Family,
What follows is a caregiver story that I was Ordered to tell.

Last summer about the time that I purchased my first grindhouse seeds from the boo I met a Family. Clan may be a better word? The Matriarch was diagnosed with stage four cancer. A mutual friend passed on some Simpson Oil capsules that I was able to make due to the Extraction team here. The capsules helped her function, eat, and get off some of the narcotics.

Rather than bother my friend they asked to meet me. We met, shared fellowship(got baked),had some adventures together, and Bonded. It was an eventfull weekend

We had one big problem. These folk did not take 'charity'!!! And I do Not charge for cancer patients..Period. She saw the problem and the answer. She joined my cause. 'What can we do to help the next patient',was all she said.

For the next few months I Traveled over there and facilitated. One late night around the bonfire they started tellin stories. during a long pause She looked at me and asked for me to tell one. Oh Shit!!now I am not shy,but these people where so like my folk that any story I told would not be new..Oh Shit, well I was a lot o fukd up,so please excuse me.... but ... well I told them about you all..
Since at that time GHMS was in a breeder war flare up,and this was a clan of scrappers?? yeap they got the full dose. From asshats to logical fallicies. I think ole Stump was in purgotory at the time. As the story unfolded I could see eyes squinkin, and nostrils flarin. Gramps' eyes sharpened for a moment, and you could see the ghost of the Man he once was back durin that other prohibition.'Who is going the help cousin Stumpy?',where the only words I ever understood him say. 'As many as it takes',was her reply.

While the rooms where being built she would hav me sit and tell her all I could about 'those computer people'. So she got to meet many of you thru me. GHMS, from steele's work as a breeder and caregiver(and the rude part too) bobby stainless' bud porn, and seedees smoke reports.
As a Clan Mother she really liked to hear about the relationships,so gypsy an DG,poopy n Miss B,hell even dag n disco got some of their story told. But it was Moonshine* and Karma Bitches story that really got her going. Too the point of gathering up some of her daughters/granddaughters etc. and havin me start all over for them. I gotta tell ya I have seen some scary shit in my very interestin life, but nothing tops how it felt lookin in those gals eyes. KB? Ma'am you ever need some Valkries you only need to tell these gals where and when.

Thanks to what I was able to learn from all of you, from how to make better medicine, how to be a caregiver. She lived to see her 10th greatgrand baby born. One more family Christmas. Months of
good days instead of a morphine stupor.

Jenny McGee passed to the next plane on my birthday the first of this year from heart failure. Completely surrounded by her loving family. She knew me so damn well in such a short time, that when I skipped the funeral to drop a dozen flowers(BH IBL's of course) at her home. I found a note in her hand writing. here is a part

paladin420

please thank the folks at IC,they are our family too.the good and the bad.
please tell them that the seed they planted in my family made us stronger.we will pass it on.

tell cousin Stumpy he earned a place in the family bible

please do not just ride off into the sunset

That was a really good story, paladin420. Glad to hear ICMAG still touches/reaches so many people even if they can't back and that you were able to meet this family. It really makes you think sometimes what the bigger picture is if you step back and look at from a different angle after hearing something like that. Ya'll take care 1

I never cease from being amazed at how folks don't need "bodies" to have "communities." Goes to show we are much more than our corporeal forms. Thanks so much for the story, paladin. Heartful and heartfelt - very.
