How to make Nuggets..

After several years of growing outdoor fluffies..I've found a way too turn that around. I take the buds when they are not quite dry..place them in a wide mouth Mason. And leaving enough air space so the buds can move..I roll that jar daily...and take the buds out for a little breather aswell..it's almost scary. You are borderline mold..the smell becomes somewhat ammonia..after 2-3 days of this process, the color changes from green to a beautiful golden brown. When the color changes, so does the smell..Now the buds can be left to dry completly, either on a screen or paper sack. After that is done, they can go back in clean sterile jars for long term storage. This process turns those loose leafy buds into tight little nugg's..And it also changes the high for the better..Just remember to put the Final cured buds into dry sterile jars..Not the ones you used earlier. My buddies, fight over this stuff..

Um just in case you were wondering that ammonia smell is from a molding process.

Yup,ammonia = mold and that can have some seriously ill effects on your body and lungs when smoked, throw that shit out.

BTW you don't male nuggets, either the bud has density in it's genetical make up or it doesn't.If all you ever got was fluffy buds then it is your growing technique or the fluff was just in all those strains' genes.

ammonia smell is not from mold

ammonia smell comes from the breakdown of plant materials naturally, this isn't molding it's fermenting, it's used in the tobacco industry to remove chlorophyll and turn tobacco from a green leaf into a brown one.

Now considering you can smoke the results in the form of a nice fine stogie(perferably cuban in orgin) you've got no problems

As long as you keep the process clean and keep the air moving you'll keep out the mold and keep getting nice smooth hits, so keep it up I'd be interested in a pictorial of the process to see the difference in color.

Sounds like you found a good way to ferment out the crap that you don't want, have you weighed what you had before and after? any idea on the weight loss? how's the bag appeal once fermented completely? is the smoke sweeter afterwords?

get some pics I'd love to see them

I would never put wet herbs in anything air tight. it doesn't make sense to me. I can imagine the "rolling of a wet fluffy bud could change its density. But couldn't this be done outside of a jar. and not to mention the disturbance of trichomes while "rolling wet herbs". and Jnugg said it all ready. You don't MAKE nugs, they grow, just like you can't take a dense bud and fluff it up. My experiance with outdoor weed and density is when I grew in full sun, I had resin covered dense buds, some top notch smoke. But when I first gre outdoors a few plots were in more shaded areas, and I dealt with the fluffy bud phenomena, but I just smoked them and got high, I didn't try to MAKE nuggets out of them, I just used it as was intended and hammered the nail on the head the next grow around. PEACE ALL.

^roflyou dry the bud properly and put it in airtight mason jars to cure it...

this is a very bad idea.. imo... if it matters to you so much, roll it in your fucking palm.
