Question about Rhode Island MMJ - USA - International Cannagraphic Magazine Forums

So I currently live in both Massachusetts and Rhode Island. My fiance lives in RI so I stay there for a while and then come back to MA for work. I have a MA drivers license and my residence is in MA but my question is would it be possible for me to get a MMJ card in RI? I suffer from severe chronic back pain due to shattering one of the disks in my back and messing another two disks up pretty bad. I just want to know if I can get a card and keep my MMJ in RI (not carrying it across state lines as that is a federal offense) if I can get a recommendation as well as some form of proof that I have a fiance living in RI that I live with about half of the year and I have my house up in MA that I live in the other half of the year...Just curious about this, does anyone know how I who I would talk to about this to find out about its legality?

if you live in ma your a resident of ma not ri .So technically what your trying to do is "illegal".But on the otherhand being from a ma town on the RI border I have numerous freinds that got there card.First off you have to establish residency Lease or utility bill,will work.Then go to the RMV and get a photo ID.Find a doc.(PM me and I can give you an adress).Make sure you have any medical papersfrom your doc MRI works best for pain cases.Last i heard it was 300$ .Once you get that far send in your paperwork ,then you have to go to providence to pick up your card.

go to ri website the applications are right there .

bottom line no matter how you cut it it is illegal .
Another option is have your girl get her card

I would have my girl get her card however she's in perfect health and wouldn't qualify for MMJ so I guess I gotta go the illegal route if I want to do it. Or I could move to the border of RI which would mean an extra 45 minute drive to work BUT it would mean I would be doing things legally...

personally, I would just have my girl write me a lease and go that route.Alot of people have places in more than 1 state.Use your girls lease have your name put on it .Get your RI drivers license and your good to go . This way your legal .anyone questions you just say you moved in with her ,and your still undecided what to do with your house if you own ,if you rent your tied into the lease.

In most states the doctors are more crimminal than us growers and smokers.Because of the $ involved. RI is great cuz you dont even need a "doc".A nurse practioneer works as well .shit I bet if she claimed her period was hell they would give her a card .RI is easy to get your card .My advice, get it now before things change.Legal or otherwise.Sooner than later is your best bet.

Hey I'm in a simlar situation, however I rent in RI so getting a licence is not an issue. Is getting a MM card easy? I don't really have any serious issue, maybe anxiety or add or something like that. Can that get me a card? Is there a doctor I can meet with it to at least talk to? And if i apply and get denied or even accepted, am I red flagged or anything?
