First AK47 run
I finally got my AK47 seeds after years of putting it off. Now I have some questions. Do they do better topped or untopped? How much do they stretch in flower? Ideal flowering height, or minimum flowering height? I have heard they can be flipped as small as 12" and finish at almost 30"? What is a realistic flowering time? Any specific feeding issues to know about? And the yield, can't wait to see that one...mind you, yield of quality herb
Im planning on doing 16 in a 4x4 tray, in soil at first, then switching to ebb and flow. Yay!

because your using seeds i would let them mature before going 12/12. once the plant is sexually mature it can be flowered giving you better results and faster flower onset. when growing from clones you can bud the ak really small in a sog for instance. by the way this strain does great as a bush and prefers to grow as a bush in my experience.
AK is a great smoke and a great producer, one of my favourites, good luck.

It depends on the pheno. I have the one thats short with strong stems, ideal in all situations with excellent yields. The Sativa pheno is also and excellent yielder with very few leafs, but has weak stems. Staking is mandatory. Just be sure to label the plants and cuttings for your selective mother to keep. Not every pheno is high yielder, but all of them are top shelf quality. As for stretch; the one I have does very little stretch, and fills in almost completely especially if I put them in 12/12 at 6 inches tall. Stretch is mostly caused by letting plants touch each other as they become competitive for light and space. The more sativas will stretch either way, but if they touch, you'll have a lot of wimpy shit from middle down unless you trim it off. Give your plants their own space.

Pretty much all of my seedlings are about 8 inches tall now, nodes, just stacked ridiculously tight and the each blade of the leaves are probably 3-4 inches wide already and the stems are very very sturdy and robust, already stronger/as strong as some of my 12" plants of other strains. I assume this is the Indica phenotype
. So, do you think I can do the Indica pheno in a total SOG...say 64 per 4x4 flipped at 10" and expect a good yield? Ill try to get some good photos...Cheers

These plants are no more than 8 inches tall. I have never seen nor heard of Ak47 from Serious being this Indica oriented.

From Attitude Seeds...I also received 1 free DinaFem Blueberry Widow, which sadly got mixed in with the "AK47", I initially thought the big one was the Widow, but the rest have followed suit with the HUGE leaves....soooooo, you think I didn't get my AK? They came in the breeders pack, well, as best as I know they did, hahah
