Today lets talk about worms. Making a worm bin is cheap and easy. The worms will be the most expensive item to buy but you can collect your own worms if you take a large piece of cardboard and wet it down good and lay it on the ground over night. Worms will be drawn to the cardboard.. they love it and abakadabra.. worms for your bin. My ground held no worms so I had to purchase mine.. red wigglers are best as they make the richest castings.

Thanks for that Rowdy!
That was interesting... lots of cardboard! But once you get the cycle going you'll have great compost to add to your garden and containers year round. And it's great to recycle all those food scraps into food. Life on this planet couldn't exist without worms.

I don't use cardboard in my bins.. just black and white newspaper.
