I had to support the hydrofarm CFL fixture and a plank of wood that was holding it up fell on the plants. 2 of them got their stalks badly broken, so much that they can't hold up their own leaves. I wrapped a rice paper (by elements) around each stalk and they are leaning a little but holding up. I'm running the fan on them gently under normal lighting and hoping they'll stay alive and outgrow the joint-casts. Any suggestions on helping them recover? maybe adding water to the cast? You should be ok
Just keep an eye on em
and keep the light from burning them little water is reaching them now.
They should Out grow this,
Try to keep the break as closed as possible.
Sounds like your doing ok

You could also make a Splint out of a Popsicle stick or similar.
Let the tops lean against other branches helps.
Might take a week to heal.

also I'm getting yellowing at the tips and brown spotting, not only on the broken one but on the one next to it. Can you help?

Not much you can do about that now.
Make SURE the light is not burning the tops!

I also have used Masking Tape to great effect.

My girlfriend has done that twice.. Tape works.. In fact the place it 'broke' grew very thick and strong.

What should I do about the light? Give it very weak light or just less of the strong one?

well.. in the wild.. if something broke a branch would the sun change? I'll have to say no, so I'd leave the light where it is. If the leaves can handle it then then next set will.

Yes.
I only worry about the broken tops scorching. If they doing ok then dont do anything, if you have other Unbroken tops they will want the light they have. To help keep the canopy even.
Best NOT to move it... but if you must, you can.
