thanks. they are looking better than ever. im actually gonna set up a small organic super soil grow for my blumats that will be water only. the blumats should do extremely well in there with no chances of clogs or buildup. match made in heaven.

Desert:

Do you shut off your reservoir on lights off or let it run 24/7?

I have also just read that blumats may not work well with molasses. I do not run molasses per se, but it does seem fairly prevalent in the nutrient line I am using, Aurora Soul. Even at 1/2 strength, from their feed schedule, it is fairly thick compared to most others. I am wondering if drip clean will be enough to keep the blumats and lines clear or if I should feed with something else and use the blumats to keep the pots wet with just water.

Also, I have read that if blumats are used the feed strength should be less concentrated. I have seen someone recommend no more than a EC of 1.0 max. Does this sound good to you?

I was. It was doing extremely well in veg. Didn't wanna run it untested in flower in my big room when I was banking on that crop. Probably would have done well. Gonna run some on flower soon to test

Reservoir cycles 15 min on every couple hours just to keep the gravity reservoir filled and at a constant level. I wouldn't use that nutrient with blumats at all. You'll be fighting clogs left and right even with drip clean. I was getting clogs with sm90 and that's supposed to help prevent them lol. At normal feed strength I was getting really high runoff but I had bad Coco to begin with. You will want to do occasional flushes if you run strong fertilizer

What I might do is to continue feeding with my current irrigation system with the Soul line at half strength, and have the blumats setup with some of the Botanicare nutes at quarter strength to keep the pots from drying out in between feedings. That keeps all the boxes checked: I get to keep the Soul line without the possibility of clogging the blumats, and the blumats keep the pots wet and keeps salts in a water media and coco from drying out causing weird lockout issues, quarter strength nutes keep just plain water from the coco. I'll monitor the waste from the Soul feedings and flush as necessary. I agree, it is a little complicated and a little more expensive. But I can have my cake and it it too.

Does anyone see any issues with this?

No issues, but there are better mouse traps available
