The RCMP has busted a Montreal-based drug ring that dealt marijuana seeds over the Internet.

In doing so, they arrested seven people, seized 200,000 cannabis seeds, $300,000 in U.S. and Canadian cash, three gold bricks and several computers that formed the guts of the operation.

MONTREAL -- The Mounties say they've arrested seven people who operated a Montreal-based international drug ring that allegedly sold, imported and exported marijuana seeds using the Internet.

yeah i seen it, the most troubling thing i seen in the video is them accessing overgrow on their overhead projector and the amt. of money orders and checks they had alongside the seeds and gold bars (gold fucking bars???). If anybody had any business dealings with HS, PLEASE BE SAFE!!! I hope that I am not alone in thinkign that we have to do something about this. This is the perfect opportunity to put on a peaceful protest outside of the montreal courthouse what with all the media attention. I believe that if we dont respond in some way, everybody loses.

It seems as though coverage is something RC does not want. That is why it took so long for this story to get out. My call is that the Emery camp will use this bust to further the cause of avoiding the US based charges and the Canadian extradition preceding that resulted from them.

Still, though this is an opportunity to let the media and politicians know how you feel about marijuana and police spying on people's computer activities.

lol these gold bars were not buried................ why???

i see the reason for turing cash into an asset with high liquidity and a high stored value, but what i don't get it why these non-breakdownable bars of the element gold were not firmly buried in the ground? where nobody is gonna find them during a raid :(

but then again mb he had 20 more gold bars in the safe in the wall behind the picture that they didn't know about (:

bet he wishes he could cash thoes bitches out right about now, i believe the 52 week average for gold is near it's height

Some folks on other sites observed that the Overgrow home page displayed on the projector is an old version dated back in 2004

It may be reasonable to assume that what the pigs got a hold on is just a basic back-up version, routinely made by RC some time in the past.

Maybe it's a wishful thinking on my part, but if you ponder about it for a minute, this may prove that servers are in fact intact, and what pigs are doing is actually trying to stir a storm in a glass of water.

yep that screen shot is pre upgrade with 75,000 members so its most likey from 04
and no sign of the server boxes anwhere JJJ
the Alpha mirror may well be an office backup, as its a standard IDE drive not a raid drive
the backups wold more than likely be on raid drives for ease of use (swap out's)
