Vote on Massachusetts medical marijuana bill expected Wednesday; voice your support now!

On Wednesday, March 1, the Joint Committee on Public Health is expected to vote on Rep. Frank Smizik’s (D-15th) medical marijuana bill — H. 2742. No one is permitted to testify or speak at the vote, so you need to voice your support for this legislation now.

We need you to do three crucial things right now.

1.) Please call the committee members today. Each call takes only a moment, but it will make a world of difference. Please call each of them and politely say:

“I urge you to support the medical marijuana legislation that is before the Public Health Committee. Seriously ill patients in Massachusetts shouldn’t have to fear arrest for using marijuana with their doctors’ approval. Please stand up for these patients and support Representative Smizik’s bill, H. 2742. Thank you.”

Note: Some of these numbers do not directly get you to the office. You may need to ask for them to direct you to the representative/senator you are tyring to reach.

Also, pay attention to the numbers. Koutoujian, Teahan, and Callahan are in the same office!
