Some of you may remember my postings on the Serious Seeds Forum, so hopefully you haven't grown tiresome with AK yet because I can tell you that for certain I have not. Since the inception of the new section here at IC I've decided to run out a mother of my old school phenotype I was gifted many years ago.

This phenotype can be characterized as sativa dominant in effect as she provides a blasting cerebral high that transpires into a moderate to heavy sedation if comsumption reaches elevated quantities. Of all the representations I've had the pleasure of trying from multitudes of growers, this phenotype exhibits the closest harvest window to 47 days. This though does not fully achieve the cannabinoidal nor terpenoidal maximum potential of the plant, something only 56-65 days can potentiate given the way one enjoys their final product. Her terpene profile is quite rich with strong hints of citric acid and limonene accompanied by an emanating mercaptanoid that has been said by many to be somewhat unpleasant although I find it, as well as many other acrid smells, to be intoxicating. One of my favorite characteristics about this phenotype, something akin to current offerings from Serious, is the phenomenal resin production. Out of all the strains that I cultivate AK-47 produces the most bountiful full-melt bubble hash runs.

Enough background, now to the specifics of this run...

Medium: Fox Farm Ocean Forest Soil
Nutrients: Advanced Nutrients
Lighting: 600W HPS
CO2 enrichment: vegetative- 450ppm , flowering- upto 650ppm
Flowering time: 63 days

She will very shortly be entering flowering as I'm just giving her time to heal from the last round of cuttings she provided. Just for those that have never seen the majesty of this legendary strain given to the world in 1994 by Simon, here she is from vegetative mother all the way to finished product.

Good day all,

Well the time has come and flowering is under way. At inception she was 50.8 cm tall and at the end of the first week she stretched to 59.7 cm. She exhibits a transition period of 10-12 days.

Pictured here at 1 week, the bud sites are just begnning to establish themselves.
