very nice m8, i would have to third what joe and don said, 3-4 weeks and you should be golden, but if you have any sort of magnifying devices like a jewlers loupe , checking the tric heads is always the best way to gauge. Without magnification i would let it go till most all the pistals have died off and the calaxes are nice and swollen.
Much respect moonunit

Thanks, guys. 3-4 weeks it is, unless I start seeing mold, but I think her sativa influence and bud structure will really help against any mold or rot. Don, she smells like straight up tropical fruit, but I started to notice a fuely smell yesterday. And I'm not just saying that because it's crossed with the Zoidfuel. It's tropical fruit with a hint of fuel and that's it.

Ended up pulling her down a few days ago. She isn't big at all, so it took only a couple days to dry in the closet. Started to smell more like oranges toward the end of flowering. Definitely could use a cure, but I couldn't help myself. The smoke is top notch. One or two hits in the morning get me starting my day in the best way possible. Hard to explain the high right now, but I'll wait till I have a proper grow of her to really explain it.
I have 4 girls going right now and one male. The male hasn't shown his balls quite yet, but he's definitely a boy. The girls are relatively uniform, save for me repotting them and a couple pests that got to them. Perfect size for my greenhouse, too. They're between 16-20 inches right now and look like the stretch has stopped. Running them in 1 gallon pots with homemade coco and fox farm happy frog (fruit and flower) ferts. I'll give them some hand feeding about once a week from now on to help with some additional PK. They're about 2 weeks into flower right now. The one in the middle-front is the boy. I burnt him a week or so ago with some tea and I think he might have some lockout. Almost throwing pollen, so everything should be okay. I think I'll hit him with the girl second to the left. I like her stature and health a lot. Medium stretch, good response to the coco and nutes. I like her a lot. Healthy girl. The one on the right of the boy got hit hard by some red ants and probably aphids. She was next to a habanero who had ants all over her. I sprayed everything down with neem oil the other day and I'll do some good pest control tomorrow. Already giving a good smell. That tropical fruit, hint of fuel. I was looking around on the bay for c99 because I thought it would be good to give that a run. Then I remembered that I have these z99 and will more than likely make more seeds than I can ever use. I'll save the c99 order for another day. Z99 is perfect for my garden. Fits right in among the peppers and tomatoes. |

Oh, and I also wanted to say thanks to Don and Moon for the opportunity to run these. I can only imagine how much work goes into breeding these, especially to the f4 generation or whatever (I forget what you guys bred it to). But whenever you do release these or anything else, I'll be first in line to snag one of everything. Considering that I'm not too far away geographically, I can totally see myself making a trip down to OZ in the future.

Spent the majority of the day re-arranging the greenhouse. Dumped several cubic feet of soil into a raised bed and checked on the girls. They're all looking a lot different than the previous z99 girl. Not sure if it's a different pheno or just the way they were grown. These seem VERY c99 dominant (never grown it, but from what I've seen). Packing on the frost really early and showing about half orange pistils from the beginning. I got worried the other day because I thought the pistils were dying. Turns out that's just how they roll. Did a ton of pest control and I hope the ants stay away. Those little fuckers hurt. Not as bad as fire ants, but still not fun. All 4 are showing similar, compact buds. Smells like tropical fruit and rubber. Like a racket ball or something. I'll get some pictures up when they're a little further along and have recovered a little from some burn.

No pictures right now, but I just wanted to document some stuff I've noticed. Just about all of the girls showed signs of being burned. Nothing bad, but a little here & there. The male I had finally gave up, so no pollen for me. Still have 3 more seeds that I'll save for a rainy day. I'm not sure if the burning was nutrient related or this organic pesticide I used to get rid of the ants. My Ace Panama also got hit bad and I lost 3 seedlings. I think it was the pesticide. Either way, they're starting to recover very well and are popping out new pistils like they just went back in time 2 weeks. They've been flowering for about 4 weeks, but aren't as big as they should be because of the burning incident, but the frost is there and they're starting to smell great. For some reason, I can see them going 8-10 weeks, but I'll have to keep an eye on them and see how that guess turns out.
Also put up a shade cloth instead of the clear tarp for my greenhouse. My peppers and tomatoes can't stand that much heat and sun, but the pot does great. Might lose a little to the shade, but not enough for me to worry about. Plus, they stay cooler. |

good to see you still plugging at it man , youll most definately see different growth and budding at different times of year in the tropics , from lollypops to half pound to pound plants , and orange pistils are quite common , some of the traits are from the zoidfuel line it has lots of resin and and the rubbery smell your sampling is likely from there , it gives cindy the legs she lacked for both yours and my growing conditions , and adds a bit more staying power where the high is concerned imho .. good luck with the garden improvements man ... |

Don What do you mean by (gives cindy the legs she lacked) in what way. I'm always curious about stuff that grows in the tropics. Aloha
