Chemdog IBL (4k organic soil)
Owdy. I've been hanging on to these beans for a couple of years now and thought I would give them a try and see what all the hoopla is about. Rez this, rez that. Tired of it.
I just pulled these out of the veg room yesterday. They've been vegging close to two months now. I have them in five gallon root pots. My soil mix is promix/roots/EWC/compost/perlite/plantone/kelp/azomite. This run I'm going to try general organics grow and bloom when I need supplemental nutes. here's a few pics: |

My mouth is watering killerweed
Keep talking! These aren't sexed yet, but its looking like at least one of them is growing a set. I'm hoping to get some pollen. Recently Ive done a few mods such as removing carpet from the flowering room and moving my lights closer to one another so I get a bit of overlap. Already I can see a major increase in the usable light and feel as though I am maximizing my space a bit better. Next month a mini split is installed and the room is sealed and supplemented. I'm in unfamiliar territory as it is, this being my second indoor grow, but I'm really in a different realm when I ditch the intake/exhaust and start running c02. I'm going to need some help.

Thanks buddy. I have three males. I've never chosen a male to collect pollen from and I have never collected pollen. Can anyone offer tips or a link to a good thread on this? I'll post pics of them later.

When I clone the males I like I flower them out till day 20+ couple of days before they drop pollen chop all the tops off and nice branches and plop them in water over paper. The pollen will fall onto the paper and you will remove all plant material from it until only pure pollen is left. Then pack it up in tin foil packets and pop it in the fridge. Put some desiccant or rice to keep it dry and make sure the jar seals I used curing jars. I am pretty sure you can freeze it too, but check to make sure I always use it within 3 months.
Good luck with your CD IBL I popped 30 beans this time and they just friggin reek 2 days into flower 24-28~ inches tall.

Thanks 40. I have so much going on, and being new at the indoor scene, I've decided to put the pollen collection project on hold and instead focus on finding some good moms. I'm finding myself veering away from stinky and toward fruity and floral anyhow
