Post The Sun Maiden Chronicles

I scored 2 paks Sun Maidens in the drop back in late dec? and right away dropped them into water
and ended up with 3 girls and 1 male
saved some of the pollen and dusted a few branches on the gals.
In my latest grow, all from seed I had more males than expected so I put the 3 maidens into the grow chamber earlier than I wanted to.
right now they are close to 3wks in flower and bustin out with buds and resin production is starting ramp up.
they have lots of nice creamy white pistils on the gals.
and they all look like they will be good producers in the weight/resin dept.
there isn't much stem even after the strecth which was extreme in some cases-->2-3x's
the budz look like they'll be runners and fill in any open stem/gaps and make nice long full arm length colas!

the smell is a beautifull but not overpowering(yet) hashy sweetness with a nose tingling twang to it.
1st time ive ever had the twangy nose tingle thing from one.

I'm very glad i scored 2 paks sun maidens.
they are winners for sure.
out of the 3 gage strains I have currently in flower I predict the sun maiden's will be the overall best of the best judging with a only mere 3 weeks in bloom.
I also predict these gals are going to become phenominal resin factories in the next 4-5weeks
if theres any sun maidens available... anywhere
get em!!!!
you won't be sorry.

I'll post more pics in the weeks to come when these sexee sun gals have had a chance to fatten up under 2000w of HPS goodness

soon to be loooong cola's

frostee mama!

nice to know they keep a low odor as they mature

Post sun maiden madness!!

ive been putting off my updates on this one and its time to catch back up.
these 3 are @38 days and I couldn't be happier.
these are pushing hard to be the star of this grow and thats a hard to do with all the great selections Ive got growing on!

topped once they bushed out very nicely and the best part Is Ive got running budz on 2 of 3,
they have been filling in the gaps and still are,
i'll have some very frosty...
**very good yields** from the sun gals.
the budz are starting to swell and still have another 10-20 days to keep on ripening up!
we'll see how it smokes
hard to think they won't have that mike tyson 1 hit punch and your knocked out!

right now they are pushing 57" tall.

i was alarmed at the 2-3Xs stretch I saw and figured they were going to be all stem from what I saw initially
but then the budz started running on two and they haven't stopped yet! the other has more stem but the budz will be the huge dense golf ball type nugz

the 1st 3 pics are full shots and I'll have to repost the closeups due to the pic numbers

heres the close up.
the HPS lite isn't the best for these kinds of shots and doesn't really give you a true sense of the resin thats on these girls.

I'm glad I picked up 2 packs of seeds

Wink

in the last 10 days thing have been happening!
the nugz are swelling up very nicely since the girls have been hit with koolbloom.
despite having to put the SMs into bloom 2-1/2wks early these also will probably be putting out the weight come harvest like the liea og's and candy drops.
the golf ball pheno already has dense rock hard/heavy flowers on her

the aroma on them is on the sweet side, its defiitely a fruity aroma

here's my *golf ball* pheno
hard to judge the size in this pic but they areclose to the size of a golf balss and aready rock hard

another of the golf ball gal, all the stems on her are topped with a nice chunky bud

here's a wide shot

between the leai candy and sun's the sun maidens look to be the best overall in general of the 3.
and thats a very tight and narrow decision.
each has its own merits.
I wish I had a USB macro cam, looking at some of the resin structure on the sun girls, its starting to take on the
*tangled spaghetti* mess of trichs/resin heads you see on the hi THC pheno's.
and best of all is this is a multi strain grow, they all got the same treatment and nutes.
when i get my keepers figured out and dial in the optimums for them they will be very impressive.
if you can score a pack of these...get em!!
I made a bunch of f2s of all my gage strain running now.
