Cool Summer 2012 - Mighty Arne and Super White07 at 55 degrees

Hello everyone, because i am stuck here up north for one more year i decided to buy these wonderful genetics from esbe and give the ladies a shot this summer!!!

So i have 13 seeds Mighty Arne and 13 Super White 07

The seeds are going to be germinated around 3rd or 4th of April to give them a headstart with the full moon coming 6th of April... Not sure how long do these seeds usually need to show the root...

My outdoor spot should be bathing in the sun rays from the morning until late afternoon all summer, there is a lively vegetation growing around plus some smaller trees are helping to cover my secret garden. Nettles everywhere and even other repelent kind of plants blocking the access as this is of the highest importance, because the place is essentially in the middle of the city...

Spent one afternoon {few weeks back} digging and filling the holes with MP compost and farmyard manure... the soil and money for seeds being the only expenses for this grow, feeding regime will be nettle and comfrey teas plus some ash, let's grow organic.

Until the germination time comes for these gems, my focus is on the legal plants:

here are the melons going strong and there are even some mushrooms growing with them, hehe

and the tomatoes and rocket in the dome

Have a lovely day everyone

Not long. I've had pretty quick germination with HFH seeds.

Happy plantings!

Here are some of my HFH babies from last spring:

operation germination

Hello everyone, today I started to germinate the seeds in between folded paper towels, technique from DJ Short's book.

After long pondering how many seeds will I start the decision I made was to keep enough hybrids for years to come, so I selected 8 seeds from each pack. Like this I still have 5 seeds from both Mighty Arne and Super07 for experimenting in the future.

Thank you Claude, hopefully my girls {and boys} will look like yours very soon as well...

The full moon is coming in 3 days, so some of them will {with some luck} have their tap root out already by then...

Thanks everyone for watching, next time update with some seedlings fingers crossed

today is the full moon planting day

Up till now the SW07 seeds are doing all great, root length is almost 1 inch so they are gonna be planted in their little pots tonight.

As for Mighty Arnes 6 of 8 have roots out, even if they are not that long yet...

planted hybrids

Hello icmagers, today i made some photos of my happy seedlings...

The plants are starting their cycle in seedlings compost mixed with some perlite in small peat pots, they will be transplanted in their outdoor spot in about a week.

So without further ado, here I present the 8 beauties WS07, one seedling has still the seed on.

few more shots of agents {0}07

and here is Mighty Arne, 6 of 8 germinated, they are one day in progress behind the WS07s and here is the fastest one

no artificial lighting for them yet, they will get a lamp or two over their heads tomorrow, until then just sitting behind the window

Have a nice Easter everyone

Question more development

Thank you Hoots, the super07 are very fast seedlings indeed, hope you will have fun with yours.

Here is some photos from today

They are getting some more light from two lamps when the sun is down, the time regime is going to be 16/8 until they go outside for good. Just checked the forecast for next week and it seems it will be raining around the time of transplant, is it fine or should i wait for a better weather? Anybody's input really appreciated, thanks for watching and have a nice day...

first day outside

Hello everybody, here is another update of my grow. Today was the first day for my plants to experience the hard sun

I put them on the top shelf of my greenhouse, they have to get stronger before they will be planted in the ground. Until now they had min. temperature 19 C. Tonight there is gonna be only around 2 C, so quite a shock. The tallest WS07 has almost 20 cm. All the plants have red coloured parts of the stems except for two WS07 that are all green. Here are the photos:

and the greenhouse

Next update on Wednesday from the planting in the OD spot, have a nice weekend everyone
