does anyone know if hydro quebec reports high consumption in residential? for example, would a $500/month bill (hydro quebec's bills are every 2 months. so $1000 bill) in a 3 bedroom apartment raise flags?

There was a court case recently in BC that resulted in your hydro bill being private information. You can google it if you want to find out more hope that helps.

as long as you pay your bill on time you shoulden't have any problems with hydro qc...they dont automatically know what size your house/appartment is they just go by previous consumption...again just try to pay your bill on time and you wont raise any flags...but 500$ every month for a 5 1/2 appt is pretty high.. even in the winter months you must be running some good wattage in there...good luck man
