How's this plan?

Still new to growing indoors but I want to give outdoors a shot.
Time is running out and i'm reading bits from around forums but i'm realy intrested in HFH since im from north-east UK and ppl hav had sucsess with them.

How's Anres Snowdog do with a L:54? I like the description: Snowdog bx1 x AmnesiaHaze\Arnes. Big yielder, good mold resistance.

My idea is to look for 2 females & germ 6 beans mid/late april and keep them indoors under a CFL for a few weeks in Plant Magic soil. After they've got bigger I was thinking of finishing in Plagron or House&Garden batmix soil.

I don't know how good the soil is around my patch idea so I was thinking of using 2 30ltr barrels, burried into the ground. Will this be a good idea or should I just find some 5gallon smart pots?

Still got to do bit more research but time is running out. I was thinking of using Plant Magic granuels/OT grow & bloom (if needed). What other stuff would help out?

Thanks!

Sounds like you got a good plan going. I'll let Esben answer your genetic questions (Although I think you picked a good strain). But I would suggest not barying a barrel I would dig a hole and replace the soil with the soil you where going to put in the barrell. You can even mix in some of the native soil.

I wouldn't recommend smart pots unless you can check on them often as they will dry out real fast. PLants love worm castings and composted manures work great too.

I'd definitely advise against growing Arne's snowdog at your location, I think it prefers warmer weather & more sun, at colder temps it seems to just stall, it'd be far better if you went for one of the Super 07 strains, Danish gold or any others that do better at higher lats than you're at.

Thanks for the replys.

Digging a hole and filling it with soil does sounds better.
I think I might go with the guerilla gold x ductch passion (danish gold), seems nice.

Here's a pic of the guerilla gold x Danish Passion grown in the east of Scotland. They are real good yielder's, but one of plants was more susceptible to mold than the other but well worth a shot, the high is excellent if you like a good indica hit

Sweet, thanks Rocket! Just bought my GGxDP seeds. Can't wait. What's your thoughts on digging a hole and filling it with House&Garden Batmix soil?

Any good quality soil will do Natty ... i use good ol multi-purpose stuff and fed with a organic liquid feed later on when the nutrients start to deplete in the multi-purpose.

Keep us updated Natty
