1k 9 plant RDWC - Kens GDP

Here we go! 1k RDWC grow-9 Kens GDP in a 5x5' tent. Picked up the clones from PTP in SJ, the cuts come with PM so beware, i sprayed them down with E-20. Doing blazeoneup style RDWC, already decided i'm going bigger drains next round because the roots had clogged the return lines in veg.3/4" drains and 1/2" feed lines. Eco Plus Commercial air 3. This is also my first time running RDWC for the record so we will see how it goes but i love it so far.

They should be on day 20 something however once in flower i noticed the plants were yellowing up fast. Meter was reading 700 PPM @.5 and ph 5.6-6.1 the first 2 weeks flower but I pulled out my old oakton meter and some drops to make sure but then discovered the bluelab PH probe was way off. So the first two weeks of 12/12 the PH was around 4.6! I'm going to guess they've been stunted this whole time and are just picking the pace up now. Must explain the lack of stretch on the plants, they haven't stretched at all!

Right now the reflector is about 16-17 inch above the canopy, plants are over 2 ft tall.. Meter reading 800 ppm @.5, 5.9 PH, water temps 66F. Wasted a few bills on a chiller and now i don't even need it, i have to use an aquarium heater in the controller. Nutes are Maxibloom, Calmag. I'm a big fan of the 1 part nutes, I've used maxibloom in coco with stellar results. My goal for this grow is a LB of black gdp buds in a turkey bag. My garage is really cold so they will purple up nice i'm sure. I'll bust out the DSLR when the time comes!

Fresh in the buckets, 1 week veg.

Plants today:

Shot of a piece of 3/4" hose next to stalk for comparison..still need to prune them

I've noticed the main branches/bud sites are looking really leafy.. never really grown any indicas before is this normal or did i mess something up?

Suggestions appreciated!
Until things get purple.. Peace

Yeah some will do that. I plan to do GDP in my RDWC too, but I'm not sure if I'll do it on this next round, or after. I have some losses to recoup.

Looks like they overcame that lack of stretch...lol. Lookin great now. I run Maxi-series as well and love it.

Im gonna have to check this out.I have a very similar set up.Im doing 10 plants under a 1000w on a 4 foot mover. In recirc dwc set up. I have two rows. 5 buckets each row.

Have you done this same amount of plants in that tent before? I know you said this is your first dwc run were you using soil before? What kind of results did you see?

Sorry with all the questions but I love watching grows that are very similar to mine.

Plants are looking great so far. That sucks about the ph. I just went out and bought another cheap ph pen and I think I gotta get a better one. I dont trust this thing. It calibrates perfect right at 7.0 in the calibration solution But i still dont trust it.
Anyway good luck Im gonna stick around for this.

BUMP!

Bumping an old thread.
Did this Ken's GDP cut turn purple? I have the cut running now and the finished product looked a lot like your bud-shot, not much purple. :(

Did it have the grape taste, at all?
