HOL Strain Names - females first?

Hey...

I was reading in the HOL forum that the strain guide and HOL seed listings on SB and Bou have the pollen donor listed first, instead of the female/mother.

Is this still the case, still backwards? Sometime in November 2011 one of you HOL guys posted that you'd fix that next time you update the 'strain guide'. But the strain guide says 'last updated September 2011'.

So, for instance... Lets take Honey Girl (she sounds sweet, eh?). HOL lists Honey Girl as Chemdog X Chronic.

Is the father/pollen-donor Chemdog, or Chronic?

It matters what parent you are listing in first and second place in your gear listings, as well as your strain guide. I would appreciate knowing. Thanks.

Sorry MariJuanita, I've been slacking on updating the Strain Guide. Honey Girl is my Hawaiian Kuipo female that was pollenated with Chemdog IBL.

We've been led to believe that lots of variation in a cross is a good thing, because some vendors would rather you buy several packs of their gear, instead of them actually doing the selections to fix that nag champa or golden clit trait themselves. For hobby growers, pheno hunting is fun. But mono-croppers who grow to pay the bills prefer a consistent product that regularly delivers the desired trait package.

Festivus, I used your Honey Girl just as an example.

So, does your answer indicate/mean that all your strain listings have the FEMALE listed first?

Thanks

ps. and about that Honey Girl... will you be listing up any more of her before April 1?

The Strain Guide from last fall does show males first on the crosses I've done. Brother Red listed his the right way. I'll be updating it hopefully today.

The Honey Girl restock package never arrived in the U.K. Those packs were the last of that run, so I will do more later this year if there's a demand. Our Sugar Cane Train also has the Hawaiian genetics in it, and I've got lots of these

Here's the updated Strain Guide for House of Love Seed Co., with the parentals listed female x male.

Thanks anyways Lou!
