Talking Testing, testing... strain: M.B.S. - 2,000watts HPS

Welcome!

Thought it may be best if I didn't continue to clog up the 'testers needed' thread, so I'll make my last recent post there, the first post here....

Hello again! I was already pushing it for space this last round, and have the highest plant count I've squeezed into this room, but I finally managed to make space for and grow a substantial little (female!! ) MBS.

Just before I was certain whether or not she'd be a boy or girl, I started to fret over the possibility of a 'fellow', and decided to germ a few more seeds... who both turned out to be male.
But by then it wasn't too sad a day, because a few days after I plunked their seeds into a bit of coco, I discovered signs of feminism on the first plant.

On to the photos!....

------

I germed her much too early, thinking I'd be able to make room for her right away, when instead it took over a month to make enough space in the big room... during that time she spent days in and out of a dimly-lit terrerium/aquarium, and a 430watt chamber.
It was tough keeping her small enough for so long, low lights and root pruning helped, but as it is she was over 14" at transplant. (She spent longer than our usual total vegging period, in less than 3oz's of medium.. the poor thing. Now, she's stuck at the beginning of another larger groups veg cycle, along with one or two other too-old plants!)

Finally transplanting...

And just over one week after the transplant, after finally spending some time under something besides spare aquarium fluoro lights (namely, 1000watt HPS).. she more than doubled her branch/node count in that time.

I'll be taking those very lowest branches as cuttings, around the third week of 12/12. Should be flipping to bloom any day now.

And for kicks and giggles, 'the boys'..... I'm hanging on to them mainly for some pollen, but also because the smallest one (under and to the left of the confirmed male) could potentially be a female, and may need separation pretty soon.
I noticed with the first MBS that she had some pre-flowers that looked a little masculine, then turned female, so I haven't quite given up on the smaller of these two. Since this photo she's been transplanted as a matter of fact.. these photos are all about a week old now, I meant to come along here sooner.

Thanks again so much, for letting me participate by the way!... hopefully, I'll be germinating the rest under 'more favorable conditions' not very long from now.

-------------------

And for fun, an example of what we're snacking on tonight... I process the majority of all my grows, into edibles.

The below are mainly 'medibles', or are as effective as taking the best/bioavailable oil in capsule form.
The Lava Cakes I consider 'gourmedibles' for the most part, because I like to use a lesser oil source... clarified, smokey bacon fat... as well as coconut oil to perform the extraction, which means slightly less portal vein/liver absorption, and more lymphatic absorption. They would however be suitable as 'medibles' for those patients who benefit from both forms of absorption.

And for dessert, later tonight... I'll be making a 'THC-Free' version for those still a little 'too satisfied' from dinner (I have some good company from away, resting in the den ).

I'll be back soon with more updates... thanks for stopping in!

oh and the food and beverages look lovely, i have been experimenting with making chicago style deep dish pizza here, the whole cheese on the bottom and sauce on the top idea seems so weird but works soooo well.

Thanks for dropping in, moonunit, and thank you for the wonderful work you've done with the MBS, she's been a dream so far! I'm looking forward to emptying my room, and germinating the rest, more and more every day.

I've time-lapsed some footage of only 7 hours of growth, from early last week, and sent it off to a friend to put on their youtube for me as I don't maintain my own 'tube.

This lady is almost my height now, after just over two weeks from being transplanted from a tiny 3oz bathroom cup.. I love the MBS, so far!

Check out how she's touching the top of the screen by the end of the vid...
