I don't know much about brewing. But I can guarantee that brewing beer like Belgiums is something very different than throwing some stuff somebody order online in plastic tubs as so many homebrewers. Brewing is all about secrets and tiny details it's a true art form.

A bit the same like growing, you don't have to think just chucking a seed in a pot and placing it in front of a window will give you pounds of those massive crystalized big dank buds you see online.

Did you knew that some of our recipes and still existing breweries are to be called ancient? I think they might be among the oldest still existing companies in the world. Take the lager beer Stella Artois for exemple. It dates back from 1366.

Quote:
Stella Artois – a world renowned brand with global appeal, Stella Artois (Stella) is the most famous of all Belgian beers. The origins of Stella date back to 1366 and it’s distinctive flavour and high alcohol content remain traits from it’s early days that are synonymous with the Stella Artois brand.
Just look at the label when you have a Belgium beer.

You shouldn't be looking into Belgium lager beers. But you should look into what we Belgiums name beer. Lager beers are know here as a 'pint' or 'pils' and specialised beers are know here as beer.

We have several different types/styles of beers. Some out of the top of my head: Trappist, abbay, castle, trippel, quadrupple, fruit, dark, blond,... beers. These are all different styles. You should google them.

Some info about the different Belgium styles:

Here is a top 40 list of some of the best Belgium beers:
