Slow release nutrients for Lebanese plants

I'm growing some Lebanese and Mazar-I-Sharif landrace plants and have been told that they prefer slow-release organic nutrients instead of liquid ferts. So I was wondering what type of organic slow release fert would be best? I'm growing in pots obviously and was thinking of using chicken shit pellets at a rate of 2-3 per pot. I've considered using bat guano but this is not very green and many people report poor results with it.

Beule is on a distinguished road
fertilisers like guano, bonemeal etc are not recommendable for growing in pots, because you do not have enough microorganisms for corroding this stuff. so the plant cant work with it. in my opinion, you should take some organic ferts like biobizz and a good soil. keep your fertillization rate low, listen to what your plants are telling you and you will get good results.
i´ve grown lebs several times ago, always with biological ferts and there are no big problems...

sorry, my english is not so good, but i hope you´ll know what i mean.
