Looking great AK. I'm really interested in this one due to my Kush obsession.

Do you find that your seedlings show sex sooner if the are kept in those cups? It looks like they have maxed out their root space.

It looks like we save a lot of money on nutes growing in Aero.

A lot of slow pitch softballs.

I use the giant beer cups - 32 oz - for about the first six months of a prospect seedlings life. I can do this because of the bio-organic teas they get for food. This allows them to last up to 9 months with such a small root ball. When a "winner" is found, they delight in the room of a 1 gallon pot. And quickly become a large mother plant in a 3 gallon pot. With these volumes I keep moms in great shape for years.

For those interested, I reveal all of my tea and nute recipies in the Tips n Trix thread below.

As for early sexing, I'm not sure. Every strain seems to have its own time table.

Aero Nute cost is one third to one half that of other hydro methods.

Thank you for your questions.

Day 7 Bloom Update

Everyone has started growing and putting on leaves.

Unit:

Track Plant:

Data:

I waited until they started eating to give them a foliar spray. I expect them to start feeding harder over the next few days. The early rooters are way ahead at the moment. In this test run, my goals are purely information. So an uneven canopy is expected with all the different phenos. I just want to find out how they grow, and of course taste them.

As always, your comments and questions are welcome.

Day 14 Bloom Update

Unit:

Track Plant:

Data:

All of the plants are healthy and growing vigorously. They started eating and have gotten a few more foliar sprays. I'll start looking at individual phenotypes when they have a little more to show. I will put in the first level trellis in a couple days.

As always, your questions and comments are welcome.

How soon are you topping these? It looks like you do it real early. Thanks.

These were topped at 24 days - I had to wait a lil longer than usual to make sure everyone was well rooted before the top. I normally top around 20 days. Then I veg for another week to two weeks to get the plant size correct. Every pheno is slightly different - one of the main pieces of information gathered in this run(test) is to figure out the number of days needed to accomplish this. I record this information on the cover sheet of each run. Tho in this case I can see how it could be lost amongst all my chicken scratchin!

Solid work with these AK. Have you noticed any mutants yet? I have one that is displaying some odd growth but Im holding on to her for the time being. Thanks and again, nice work.

Day 21 Bloom Update

Unit:

Short Row:

Track Plant:

Data:

All of the plants are quite uniform in most characteristics. The slower rooters being behind - tho not too far behind - is the biggest difference. A couple phenos appear to have a slightly thicker stem, but leaves and most growth patterns are consistent across all phenos. No mutants have been observed. No defined smells are evident yet. The plants have responded well to the trellis as vigorous growth continues.

As always, your questions and comments are welcome.

Day 28 Bloom Update

Unit:

Bud:

Track Plant:

Data:

The plants continue to feed nicely. I have delayed PK boosting a little as the plants have just stopped stretching. They look a little bedraggled because the room hit 109 degrees today when my main inlet fan for the room failed. I got some leaf curl and some scattered premature browning of pistols across the room. These plants are young enough that they should have no problem recovering.

Still no major differentiation between phenos other than size. I get a little undefined spicey smell when rubbing the stems.

As always, your questions and comments are welcome.
