A Girl's Grow - Flower Day # 47
Hi All! Thanks for stopping by and checking out my thread.
I have been a smoker for many years but this is my first grow. I am growing some beautiful ladies now and I really want a successful harvest. Today is day # 47, BUT I have smoked a sample nug around day 41, and the high was very quick hitting to the face and head . I liked the high, but I needed a stronger punch..... On day # 41 I checked out the trichs with a Radio shack magn.glass, and the trichs were milky/cloudy. I did not see any amber or orange. The hairs on the bud are about 30% orange to red. I like my high to be more heady and some body stone. Do u think they will be ready soon? How do i know if this is a plant that will be ready by day 50/60/or65? Any advice for a good successful harvest is really appreciated. Please help a girl out, thank you in advance! My Grow: -400 HPS -Soil Grow ( perlite, dol.lime, ) -3 Gallon Pots -Feeding only Earth Juice Bloom Now ( Fed Veg + Bloom Nutes 1st half of Flowering ) -1 TBSPN of EJ Bloom diluted to 1 Gallon of Distilled Water, fed every watering. -Watered once per week -12/12 Light Cycle -Good ventilation coming from outside air. -soil ph 6.8 -room temp 75F day , 64F night -bagseed plants, i think they have to be either ( NL, NL X Shiva ) cuz those are the only strains of weed i had at the time, and the seeds came from one or both of them. -one plant is 40" tall, 38" and the other is 32" tall. -One plant smells like Smooth Chocolate while the others are like a mix of watermelon candy! some sample pics from today, enjoy! Hi Aurora
there is no strain that I know of that will be ready in 40 days, You still have another 15 to 20 to go for the top plants on your post. The bottom girl looks like another 30 to 40 days. What is the percentage of cloudy tric's ? DM |

Looking good! You'll have some nice smoke in no time. Just keep checking out the trichs with your magnifier, you'll know. Peace....

Aurora, lol yes it is hard to wait aint i?
but it's well worth the wait...they really start to swell up the later weeks of flowering..so hold it out until you are sure... then have a happy harvest! -Opt

Hi, Opt1983 and Indigo!!
Thank u for the kind comments. Yes, I've heard from several growers that they really start to swell towards the end, I am really looking foward to it cuz I think I am almost there ( give or take 1-3 weeks, I hope ) . I have another question for this thread, is it recommended that u give them 48hrs of darkness before cut? Thanks in advance! |

Yes its recomended but not a nessecity. On the other hand i would water them twice with just plain water before harvest to "flush" the plants and get all the nasty tasting chemicals pot. That would give you a good 6-8 days of nutrient free feedings.
