Questions about DGS strain Abyss99.

I have never run any DGS gear and have been looking at this strain on seedbay for a number of years. I am looking for a heavy indica stone and this looks like it might fit the bill? I have only seen the one grow in the independent reports and it looks very dank. I have not seen anyone grow this strain in quite some time and was wondering if there is a reason why? Can someone please give me the rundown on this strain ie. veg. times, nute tolerance, flower times, ease or difficulty of growing indoors, yields etc... Also the seeds listed on the bay have been there for a long time. Am I taking a chance on these seeds ie viability wise?? I am looking for any info from all you DGS growers out there. Any opinion good or bad will be helpful???

I just got 23/25 germination on five different DGS strains so I would not worry about that.
Haven't grown the abyss though so can't comment other than to say her C99 stud makes everything he knocks up shine.

It may just be me, but if a breeder isn't active on ICmag, I tend not to buy their gear. DG has been missing with no explanation what so ever. With that said, everything from DG I have grown has turned out great. If there is any KQR left I would grab that. Fantastic indica high, with a berry/nut flavor. KQR is very easy to grow, and the yields are a little above average. As for the Abyss, haven't grown that one yet.

Put three abyss 99 seeds in dirt, all sprouted. Managed to kill one with too much water. Moved the other two into 2 gal hempy, with perlite and vermiculite. Went 12/12 june 10. Did not top, 13 inches at flip, stretch to 39" and 42". Very thick stalk and large leaves. Looks to be average yield and smells fruity. Nice healthy plant.

I say go for it mate, the storage facilities @ SeedBay and SeedBoutique are #1 and the Abyss99 are from DGS's 3rd and last drop so they are about 2 to 3 yrs old now from when they were released, I've popped DGS seeds from 2008 recently and they all popped no worries. Go For It Mate!!
You'll be glad you did

I think I will p/u a couple packs then. Or maybe one pack of abyss99 and one pack of KQR??? I have never grown DG gear but looks very strong. I have been growing TGA and CSG gear for about 5 years and looking for something different in the growroom for my next round probably in Nov2013.

I finally picked up a pack of abyss99 tonight. I have been looking forward to growing this strain for a number of years. I hope the seeds are not too old and are still viable. I will not be able to pop these til late Nov or early Dec.2013 after I get back from HTCC/Amsterdam. I will definately do a grow journal as this will be my first run with DGS gear. Is DG still around, as I have not seen a thread from her since early 2012? Please if anyone has any pointers on this strain chime in. I will be growing this strain TLO style in 2 gallon airpots/completely organic.
