Additional info on strains

one of the features on new Boo is a feature called extra fields
I'm currently using this to show info on strains like standard / feminised, auto flower / standard etc

this info can be linked to the search to allow filtering of info and to highlight key criteria
and set options in the search to help narrow your search

fields currently used include

*Standard / Feminised
* seeds per pack
* standard / Autoflower
* Awards
* THC content
* Enviroment
* Flowering time (indoor and outdoor options)

but others could include

* yield
* Skill level
* SOG /SCROG compatible
* Hight
* Medicinal Use
* Odour

the list is endless, but requires input from the breeders
if they can supply the info I can use that to set search fields making it easier to find the strain to suit the customer

Some breeders supply this info in part but not all

so if you have any idea about adding a criteria that would help let me know
and before anyone says it a filter for Indica / sativa filter is already on the cards
just need to standardise the info supplied by the breeders

in this case would this is acceptable ??
the input of the field would be from the breeders info if they state the info in there description
* Indica
* Mostly Indica
* 50 / 50
* Mostly Sativa
* Sativa
* Haze (Optional)

when making suggestions remember I have to have the info from the breeder to input it
so unless its a common factor I doubt we can use it

How about having it so I can search by lineage, for instance filtering for "Blueberry" would yield all the strains with blueberry genetics. Or Thai, Skunk, Oaxacan etc etc..

possible, but the general search pattern would find that info and tag the strain anyway
as the search does header and context (strain name & breeder info)
a separate field would narrow that down but would require the breeder to supply that info
the general search would get a better hit ratio, esp with terms like skunk & Thai

it would be nice old pink to have outdoor and indoor listed. for example; blue velvet does fabulous outdoor but not as good indoor.

the climatic environment is essential as an afghani hashplant does not grow great in a jungle setting as old god hawaiin turns to bud rot in the canadian north. this is something i have found that the seedbanks get into trouble for and really is not their fault.

many breeders do not long veg to see when the plant sexes normally, nor do they go past a certain point when in flower

i use GA to produce FEM seeds and the measurements must be exact down to a 1/16th of a teaspoon. it is a very delicate and time comsuming method but with great results. all the ways should be listed somewhere for medical mj growers. thank you

The old Boo had a way to narrow down choices by price. I found that useful.
