other breeders here like chimera or Karma that sell seeds at lower prices would immediately replace seeds that dont germ well

i wouldn't grow anything from soma if it was given to me. his ethics are questionable, his seeds don't germ, his prices are ridiculously high. his train has left the station...he has to depend on new growers to buy his seeds. people who read and research wouldn't touch his stuff. he definitely carries much negative karma, which seems to be catching up with him. he screwed me 10 years ago. contacted him several times. he plays the "ignore them and they'll go away" game like an expert. anybody who buys his seeds, after reading all the warnings about him, deserve exactly what they get.

I've never had any problems with Soma's gear and that goes all the way back to the overgrow days. I've even got single female seeds and still got great plants.

Well I had a complete opposit expierence with Soma...I bought the nycd in 07 and asked him through email not icmag, what to expect and feeding tips etc...I got a sincere and honest email back about a week later Telling me there will be several phenos to be found all of them good the best being what is now dubbed the grapefruit pheno told me what to look for and gave friendly and courtious feeding tips....." I've never used molasses" he say's, but pleanty of guano......Anyway when I think on Soma I think of a old school space caddet he's slow, dirty, and way too lovie dovie for me...but he's passionate amnd cares deeply for the movement and cannabis in general.Yes the beans are expensive and yea he may be shot.But many many growers myself included have found amazing plants...The NYCD for example is by far hands down one of the best tasting,smelling plants in the world.With a happy go lucky perma grin buzz that lasts all day....It is the upitimy of candy grapefruit flavor and is also a reliable breeder....You dont make that by accident folks......He worked it as he did all his strains and thats why many reguard his gear as top shelf....Yea he has some germination issues and most of his beans are made by others these days but thats everywhere homie.....Shit look around we got f2's being called ibl's 1st generation out crosses being called ibl.everything is all hype and glitter It's a seedy business and a little shady. a little pretensious even.All Im saying is it's kinda hard sometimes to see the good guys from the bad in this business cause the game is so fucked up.Ask me Soma is one of the good guys......

I get what you are saying Stump, and I have seen some awesome looking Soma plants.



However, at least those F2'd "IBLs" will germinate. Doesn't matter how much work a breeder puts in, if you can't germ the seed.

I don't know of any other breeder who has as bad a germination record as Soma does. Then there is the fact that Rock Bud is still being sold.

I was told by Soma that I had stored my Rock Bud incorrectly, and that he was not responsible once the beans left his hands.

Too many other choices, to waste money on nonviable seeds.

Anyone know how this fella is oriented?
