Playing it safe w/ a 1 year lease?

If you were to decide to lease a place strictly for a grow wouldnt a 1 year lease be pretty clutch with an out of state landlord? Does anyone have any experience with this? I would think that the chances the feds could build a strong enough case for a search warrant within that year period as long as your not a complete idiot and take basic precautions like maintaining the yard, staying under 10K and making sure your bill is payed on time along with the obvious other small reasons i couldnt see a very large risk of getting busted..

if cops want a search warrant they can get is within an hour, especially if they have a snitch....

and you being from one state and growing in another would be a federal crime by crossing state lines would it not?

im from canada so this is only an assumption of what i know about US law

Not a smart idea....grow ops ruin houses by causing mold and mildew issues..and cutting holes in walls for ventillation...staining the floor with nutes. Neighbors will wonder why ur windows are always blacked out and noone ever uses the front door....only things being thrown out are plant nutes and soil bags..... Its not smart to grow on or in property you dont own.... Buy a house in the ghetto for 10 grand to grow in and juat leave a few hungry pitbulls in the house when ur not there.... Just my 2 cents

Take in consideration this house is in an area where its not uncommon to have a vacation house.. And what i would be doing if i were caught would fall as a misdemeanor. The house is a 3 bedroom w/ a basement so the only windows that would be blacked out would be basement..
One year of growing if your not an idiot will not cause any crazy distructive long term effects anyways. Some people are trying to grow for cash and survive in this shitty economy when others are growing for personal stash. So if i need to cut a 6in duct hole that can be fixed in 20 mins by drywall then so be it... Who says i wouldnt clean up and repair anything that was caused by me or the grow?
And mold.... Are we not using dehumidifers nowadays?

Ehh...

While it is do-able, weigh your risk carefully. Are you responsible for all upkeep? Can you be 100% sure that the landlord won't be around? How about the landlord hiring maintenance? What if the AC goes out? Basement flood? Or any other house problem? Is there pest or termite inspections? I'm not saying it can't or shouldn't be done, but cover your ass.

My 2 cents...Good luck to you.

I hear you man, but the house would be strictly to grow not living so I wouldn't imagine that getting up and moving to another location would be TO difficult.. right? And I hear you about the fed's but what I plan on accomplishing I don't think would get to much attention from them ;P
