You've shown me a new way and I thank you for it, the simplicity of the funnels and screen is a "I can do that". Great extractions needn't be complicated.

Today I pull out from the freezer all the trim bags and make some good hashish.

The method is the same, filtered with a 280µ and then collected in the funnel on a 25µ screen.

I love concentrates, made with or without solvent, dry or wet processed, everyone has its reason to be

However, I collected a lot of trim in the past months....well...maybe years, so I put everything remained doing a good water extraction, one of the best time/quality/quantity method to obtain the resin to me.

I'm pretty sure I could obtain cleaner resin, but this would take more time and I can't feel any difference once melted on the Ti pad, so I just go fast, let's say 1 hour and something to do everything and place the resin to dry.

Couple of days spent playing around with butane and ethanol.

Starting with 13gr of little sugary buds, reduced in size with scissors.



Flowers go inside the thermos (thanks for inspiring me jump)





The thermos cap as one hole to spray butane inside, and one hole with a pressure valve to avoid pression raise too much during the injection.



Now, thermos and butane cans go to rest some hours into the freezer, to low their temperature under the boiling point of butane.

After the freezer phase the injection can start.
I sprayed 2x250ml cans, only little boiling observed, 99% of butane stay liquid.

I let the weed soak for 1,5 hours shaking it every 5 or 10 minutes and then filtered everything using an o'kief extractor and spray some fresh butane to rinse the weed



Now it's time for the butane to evaporate

After butane is gone it's the etOH turn. I add it into the evaporation dish and in a minute everything was dissolved. Waiting one more minutes I saw the first agglomerate:



So I put everything in the fridge for some hours. A lot of stuff comes out and I filtered everything with a 31µ inox screen.



Notice the whitish slime, it should be a mix of fats and waxes and squeezing it it's not sticky.



The result is a yellow clear solution, that could lead to think there are no more fats in it, but it's wrong...
