SWT #3 Info
Hey Koot!
I know the hype has been sky high around here lately because people love the sweet tooth so much, but there isn't really much info about it....from these boards. I cannot say I've personally ever tried sweet tooth, at least not knowingly, but what makes your SWT, different from the original strain description...if any? Is this just a project to preserve the genes, was there a different male or female used differently from the original, and why? I'm just trying to educate myself more on what exactly the SWT #3 is all about when coming from the new Deluxe Seeds. Maybe pictures? Thanks a bunch! OPT

Yeah, what OPT said. Plus, info on typical flowering time (indoors and outdoors).

I'd like to see some pics of the famed SWT#3 too, not many available on the internet.

![]() "sweet tooth # 3 This Sweet Tooth is the result of one backcross line wherein the goal in searching the father was an emphasis on the taxonomy and aroma of the original SPG mother. The Grapefruit is a true favorite among growers and consumers. It is possibly the most cultivated strain among commercial producers in Vancouver. The preceding BX2 seed that the father was selected from produced quite homogenous grapefruit-like plants, this generation should be suitable for crossing. The plant is high yielding for a Sweet Tooth yet retains the exceptional candied sweetness this strain is famous for. A beautiful plant with a beautiful taste and a positive vibration. A smiling high is guaranteed from these heady flowers. The plants are quite hardy and easy to grow, and prefer a drier finishing time, as the buds become fat enough for mold to be of concern. These chunky monkeys often require staking but in a windy location they should be stout enough to hold their own (significant) weight. Does well as a small bush but will become a large bush given adequate growth parameters. Whether this is an exceptional commercial strain or head stash is for you to decide. I truly hope you enjoy these plants as much as I do." Might also want to search ST#4. SOTF420 has been doing some impressive restoration work with Sweet Tooth #3, I believe. Yeah maybe, but it would be better to see something grown from this batch of seeds or batch way closer than that would show.
If they are put up and as sweet as said i'll get a third pack. 30 seeds should give a nice 15 plant run. S_a_H

The text is, I believe, from original description of SOL and gives some great info about parents(SPG = Sweet Pink Grapefruit). |

11 years later my buddy still has SWT #3 growing to some extent in every garden he has. His favorite pheno is the one that smells almost sick.. Like sweet vomit, but in a good way.. 2 summers ago he grew it outside for the first time and grew some 2LB plants in 50 gal holes.. When the owner of the property came over during trim time (he doesn't smoke at all) and couldn't even stand to be in the room with it without his eyes burning and him wanting to throw up. My buddy, on the other hand, was in heaven. He keeps it around not because it's the absolute best high in existence, but when you balance the awesome yield with the fantastic smell with the excellent high it does produce, it gives him the best all-around balance of the 60-70+ strains he's tried over all those years.. He still has a massive stash of anywhere from F2s on down to probably F6s by now.. And they do stay very true breeding down the generations for whatever that is worth..
Great.fucking.plant and I can't wait to see what you guys do with these F2s once the reports start coming in.. BB |

![]() This is from all the backcrossing to the SPG Steve did to arrive at Swt #3 which is where #4 came from eventually, so genetically it's mostly SPG, either of them. Blueberry may be one of the original parents but when you continually backcross to a clone like SPG you double it's genetic input each time so that after a few backcrosses it's as close to SPG in a seed as you are going to find. Sweet Tooth has something else special to it though, they are strong healthy plants and very nice yielders with great resin production. I have grown out other strains with BB in them and Sweet Tooth is very different it's usually not some finicky little sensitive plant but totally the opposite in that they love to eat and are very tough and flexible adapting well to many different types of grows & conditions. One thing they must have for good results though is enough rootspace, they simply are not suited to tiny containers or cramped spaces. Give them lots of rootspace and they will reward you with a very nice harvest of frosty goodness ![]() I look very forward to seeing the results from these F2's Koot made, I would like to hear more about the parents used and see some pics too that would be fantastic. ![]() Quote:
