Looking for a chemical that can destroy THC, THC-COOH, CBN within a day or two, or makes it impossible to measure the cannabinoid content by conventional lab analysis (GC-MS, HPLC or other methods).
Controlled substances like cc. Sulfuric acid are out of question, a common household chemical would be the best.

*THC is still on the plant material, not in urine.

Would bleach, H2O2, NaOH, HNO3, H3PO4 work?
What happens with THC after reacting with bleach?

So far these ideas came up in the thread:

- Burning it up: in some scenarios this might be a good idea, but i'm afraid of "intent to harm a police officer with an improvised explosive or burning device"
- Isopropil alcohol: since it dissolves THC, it still could be measured from the slurry of weed, altought some might leach away.
- UV light : I don't see how can this be done, packages needs to be opened, weed needs to be spread out for the UV light etc.
- Bleach : question stays : What happens in a bleach-THC reaction. THC oxide of some sort? Can it be measured by standard lab analysis? Possible to tell the amount of THC from the amount of THC oxide?


2 Scenarios:
- Home search, weed packaged individually but in the same container. If container is opened in a different way, weed needs to be destroyed without harming the officer who opens it.
- travelling smuggling, car, there might be some time to do something (push a nail, pull a plug, push a button) before being pulled over and searched.

The point is, in my country the sentence depends on the amount of THC, below 1g THC is considered minimal amount, no jail time, but above that it's worst.
The confiscated plant material goes to a lab for analysis, but if they are unable to determine the amount of THC, the judge will have to calculate with the lowest amount of THC measured in that year (0.02%).

The goal is to destroy as much THC as possible, or make it impossible to be measured in the lab.

Let's say someone travels with a big bag of weed, that would get him into jail, but he keeps it next to a bottle of bleach. If he gets pulled over he just stabs the bag through the bottle of bleach, so the weed gets flooded, making it impossible to measure the amount of THC.
I can think of more sophisticated methods to flood the weed , not just during travel, but at home at the storage place, for ex. if someone doesn't know how to open the container that contains the weed, it gets flooded when he tries etc

isopropyl alcohol maybe? if you pour a big botttle of iso into a bag full of weed, i doubt there will be much thc left. still sketchy though. what country are you in, if you dont mind me asking?

honestly this sounds like a really REALLY stupid idea....if you wanna take the risk, then grow some fucking balls and take the risk...you get caught...man up and do your time....

usually someone who is willing to go all out not to get caught like that are usually the ones that will snitch you out. "they just cant handle doing time" so they will do ANYTHING to get out of it.....


if you cant deal with the consequences then dont do the crime...



ps. it should be noted that in my country if i get caught doing what im doing its like 5-6 years in jail....but if i get caught i can deal with it because thats life....cant wait for the day it legal but until then, its risk vs reward.






EDit: even if you have a pound, or an ounce the thc will not be over 23%(example), the amount of marijuana confiscated is not reflective of the thc content....so if i get caught with 100 lbs and the weed has 18%, then its 18% thc, not 1800%....

In the posters very specific context and with such a strange legal system , i dont think this is stupid at all.

Solvents will not degrade enougth , would suggest the strongest peroxide bleach you can get , drop the bud in a thermos flask full and shake.

Police would take it away as is and by the time it was tested a proportion of the THC should be oxidised , possibly enougth to make a sentenceing difference.


Woulld like to know how they sample a bag of weed with any consistancy , a legal defense would question the validity of such evidence in court , at least in the UK.

I would look at the UV spectrum of light for a period of time
