Live Fire Test Grow by Abja Roots

Hey everyone

So I got these seeds a few weeks ago. I was delayed by various things, but did manage to get them up and going. I did not heed the recommendation to scuff these seeds, and also started them in a way I never have(Rockwool).

I was 11/12 on my Lemon Larry x Shishkaberry, 5/5 on some Mooch775 freebies of Chem D X 4SD, and 7/20 on these Live Fire(with one looking suspect).

These are just in a small tent for now, under an 8 bulb T-5 with only half the bulbs on. They're in a pre-amended soil mix based on a recipe I got from SunnyDog a while ago.

I was going to wait to post these up until there was more going on, but I didn't want Festivus and Red to think I was slacking completely.
Live Fire's on the right

Over the next week or two, I'm sure these will bulk up and stack up a bit more. I'm not quite sure where I'm going to flower them, but it will more than likely be under a 1000w or (2) 600's in 2 or 3 gallon pots of this preamended soil mix. They might end up in 5 gallons, but when I do this many seeds I prefer to use up as small amount of space and resources as possible. Then I'll pick the best ones and re run those in my standard system to see how they perform. Then I'll decide if it's worth keeping or passing out to anyone.

A little of what I'm smoking on.
Corleone Kush(or Candy Jack)

(Rez 4SD)

The CK came as a clone, so we're not sure what it is. A dispensary said it was was Candy Jack. So who knows. The 4SD was a selection I made from a pack I grew out. These were both grown out by a friend, but they're not bad at all.

Anyway. There won't be much in here for a bit, but I hope it will be interesting soon.

Hey A.R., thanks for posting up this thread! Def subbed!

Did you only get 7 of 20 to pop? Damn, that's not good! :( These beans do have some tough shells, hope you get lots of females to compensate!

One word on germing the Live Fire...Scarification!

We've been led to believe that lots of variation in a cross is a good thing, because some vendors would rather you buy several packs of their gear, instead of them actually doing the selections to fix that nag champa or golden clit trait themselves. For hobby growers, pheno hunting is fun. But mono-croppers who grow to pay the bills prefer a consistent product that regularly delivers the desired trait package.

So there's not much to show yet, but I figured I'd post up a few more pics of the seeds. In a week or so, they will likely get up potted to 1 gallon pots. Normally I would flower them in those pots, just to see what's worth running again and which ones are male/female. I don't usually see the need to run seeds in 5 gallons and veg them for a while, because some will undoubtedly be males. For this run, I'll more than likely put them into 3 gallons before I flip them
