Thanks Donald for letting me be a tester for some really cool Australian genetics from the Wizards of Oz; MBS (Mind, Body and Soul) & Z99.

MBS (Mind, Body and Soul) = Zoidfuel x Deep Chunk x C99

Z99 = Zoidfuel x C99 (C99 is Wallyduck's F6 C99)

I'm going to run 3 seeds of each strain



Cool, an extra MBS seed in the pack!

Here is the current method I use for starting seeds.

First I prepare soil that I will be starting the seeds in. This soil is a 3:1:1 mix of promix:earthworm castings:perlite.

I add Maxicrop (liquid kelp) to some water. I moisten the soil with this water, fluff it up a bit and make a small depression in the center of the soil about .5" deep,




then add the seed





and cover it lightly with soil. The air is dry here so I take a piece of plastic wrap and cover the top of the containers for the first day or two until the seedlings break through the soil and shed their shells, then the plastic wrap is removed.

In keeping with the Oz theme, I will also be running a third set of Australian genetics; Sweet Sativa.

DrBudGreengenes and I were gifted some Sweet Sativa seeds from a friend in Oz about 3 1/2 yrs ago.

DrBud grew some out shortly after he received them. I haven't tried growing any out yet and I figured this was the perfect time to run some.




Short note on the Sweet Sativa being grown here. I threw 2 seeds into soil on the 9th. One seed did not germinate. The other seed did germinate but it had 1 cotyledon and no serrated leaves so I didn't have high hope for it. I don't have a picture of the plant at this time. Since the other seed did not germinate, I threw a new seed into the container (labeled 12-9 in the pic above) on the 14th, at which time I also started a third Sweet Sativa seed (labeled 12-14 in the pic above).

Hopefully both of these Sweet Sativa will germinate and the first Sweet Sativa will grow out some normal serrated leaves and not die.

Once all the seedlings germinate and get going, I will be putting them in a cfl cab with daylight cfls to veg and then will flower them under HPS.

I will update this thread regularly with new pics.

i alway[s love how shanti sticks heaps in his packs , good for us outdoor fellas ..

hope u get some of them sweet sativas up ,, u know i ran a bunch of them this winter ?? , some nice plants ,, but the better ones were spring before they succum to the longer days and revegged ..
