Happy Crimbo btw we are so organized over here that i even got time to start a new diary and my first proper test grow on ICLet´s hope i got the blessings from Above.
Thanks to the kindness and sharing spirit of Mr.Donald Mallard i was given the chance of testing these little gems




They were soaked for 30hrs in tepid water with a few drops of root stimulant.


Sorry for the AK intrusion but they are all good friends by now
After that they went to the holy plate wrapped on holy paper cloth and after 60hrs i had 100% of tap roots out


So there they went to sleep on Mother Earth were they will root and grow strong.


I´ve used this batch to do a little test about the best possible seed position when comes to germination. Tap Root upwards or downwards?! We´ll see in the end.

We already got our first result from the seed orientation test.
The 4seeds orientated the usual way, tap root down/shell up, where the fast ones to come up. Two without shell, two yet with.
Of course that this observation is not final, we need to check the performance of the ones orientated the other way around.
But it´s all good fun. Couple of pics now.

Hi there guys
I hope that everyone had a good festive season.
Mine was peaceful and quiet just the way i want it.
I had been quite busy, as usual, so i had to neglect the babies a little that meant that one of the seedlings stretched too much and ended up falling down and breaking the stem. RIP to him
But it´s not all bad. From the seed orientation test i gathered that all the ones with tap root facing up where slower to raise up but when they did the shells were lost by then.
Lesson learned, in case of very hard shelled seeds tap root up all the way
Couple of pics to finish the update.

looking good PAUL! I know my MBS stretched a lot during the seedling stage. i had to keep rotating them since the fan was blowing them over. help with the structure of the stock supporting the weight of the tops and and the length of the stretch. But so far there looking real nice for sure. gonna have a sweet rocking garden here in due time

thanks for giving them a run man ,
im really enjoying seeing all the grows in the forum at the moment, looks to be a nice green year in here ,
im reckining youll be smelling this forum all they way from introductions once the flowering begins , hehe ..

In my case it´s mostly due to the fact that i don´t have a fan blowing on the seedlings. Not enough space for that so they always end up stretching a fair bit. But we´ll get there in the end.

My pleasure my friend. My gut tells me that good things will come out of your beans so i´m preparing a 3ft x 3ft flowering area dedicated just to Wizards of Oz testers. The idea is to keep the best two girls as mums. I was missing some Oceania genetics on my rooms, not anymore
Now that you mention smelling flowers, can you tell me what to expect when comes to smells during the grow? Very strong, strong or mild?
Just trying to have the unwanted smells problem before it happens.
